Calculating Attack

I have tried repeatedly and unsuccessfully to calculate what my kill rate should be for unit vs unit.

I'm primarily looking at fort farming to get a basic understanding of how increasing tech level and attribute level will increase my kill rate.

My variables are:

K: Total opponents killed by 1 of my units
Au: Unit attack strength (ie 300 for catapults)
Aa: Attack attribute (attribute + equipment)
At: Attack tech (starting at 1.00 and adding .02 for each level)
Oh: Opponent's health
Od: Opponent's defense (don't know if that factors into this)

It would make sense to me that the equation would be: K=((Au + Aa) *At) / Oh

However, my current kill rate w/ cats to inf is 2.71. My Aa = 83, At = 1.16

K = ((300+83) *1.16)/150 = 2.96

I would eventually like to calculate how many inf/cavs my inf/cats can take out.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Calculating Attack

from what i understand def is added to health when figuring out how much damage you do to a unit. So you need to do health+def to kill a unit not just health. Other than that it seems you have a good handle on it.

This guide has it broken down as to kill ratios for each unit vs each unit type about half way down:

Re: Calculating Attack

They are as follows and are calculated from the Base Attack of a unit:

• Infantry +150% vs Cavalry/ +120% vs Catapults
• Cavalry +120% vs Archers/ +150% vs Catapults
• Archers -23% vs Infantry/ -80% vs Turrets
• Catapults -210% vs Turrets/ Cannot be hit while moving backwards/ Speed is NOT used for battle purposes when stationary

In the layman’s terms:

• Infantry +112 vs Cavalry/ +90 vs Catapults
• Cavalry +210 vs Archers/ +262 vs Catapults
• Archer -13 vs Infantry/ -48 vs Turrets
• Catapults -210 vs Turrets

Using this information, we find that in terms of Base Stat Ratings:

• 1 Infantry unit can kill 0.35 inf/ 0.53 archers/ 0.11 cav/ 0.47 cats
• 1 Cavalry unit can kill 0.8 inf/ 2.6 archers/ 0.27 cav/ 0.81 cats
• 1 Archer unit can kill 0.22 inf/ 0.43 archers/ 0.09 cav/ 0.11 cats
• 1 Catapult unit can kill 1.4 inf/ 2.2 archers/ 0.48 cav/ 0.6 cats

at base...

so more complexity...

Taking Forts (advanced)-uranos
these need a little explaining so here it is
attack = your current attack total
defense= your current defense total
inf= number of inf needed to take the fort
inf losses = expected number of losses against that fort
cav=number of cavs needed to take the fort
cav losses= expected number of losses against the fort
arch= number of archers needed to take the fort
cats= nnumber of cats needed to take the fort
also they attack and defense start at 65 as the table assumes max level equipment :)

Level 1 forts
Level 2 forts
Level 3 forts
Level 4 forts
Level 5 forts
Level 6 forts
Level 7 forts
Level 8 forts
Level 9 forts
Level 10 forts

additionally if you are against a player you know the stats of
you can use this guide to calculate it all

Very detailed! Nice. Frankly though, I usually just send more than I need to win. I'm too lazy to calculate. If I'm unsure I'll either not attack or send all my troops. That's me though! Hahaha >_<

Re: Calculating Attack

sup,

No clear answer on your request. Depends on the equipment level and the defense of the opponent vs your attack and equipment level.
Also his speed will determ who "hits first," and how many turns you can kill enemy troops before they can reach yours. that is more importent than trying to determ the rate you can kill. When you see you're not gonna make it you can still withdraw. lol :)

When you want to kill cats you better use archers or double amount of cats. Also cavs are very good to kill cats, when the attacking opponent doesn't command his cats. Just wait till turn two and forward thos cavs. Cavs can kill cats with a rate of 50%. But personally I do like the giant cav armies and just walk over the enemy. Or use them in combination with archers to take out some cats before they can hit your cavs. Only do this when your speed is higher heh...
