why isn't more notification of pvp competition given so those on various time zones have forwarning so that they can be prepared to sign up? I hate that by the time I log in I find out it's already started.

Perhaps it is their intention for it to come as a surprise of sort? Another reason would be it's a last minute thing.. Either one~
