Cannot Paste

Hello,

After asking around among my alliance mates, I think we discovered in common the source of this problem, hopefully:

Perhaps it was after your most recent game version update, we have no longer been able to paste into the game. This is really hard for me since I am an alliance leader and I can't send out guides. Please have a look.

I may be wrong, and if I am I do apologize. I suspect that your theory is correct about the recent update.

My bf has updated his Haypi and cannot copy and paste yet I didn't update and I can still do this.

Many players I have spoke to have reported similar to you.

I suspect this was not done on purpose as copy and paste as you say is quite vital as you say in alliance letters etc...

I'm sure if done in error, there would be an update fix shortly.

As an addition, we find that we can copy text from within the game and paste it with no problems to the game. However we are not able to copy text from outside the game and paste it inside the game at all.

Yes, I too have noticed it.

For me it's copying or pasting to or from this app.

I write my alliance letters in Notes then copy/paste over into the game, but have also lost that function. From Notes to email is fine, just Haypi won't do it. So, I'm in the same boat.
I updated yesterday. I should've left it a few more days

I emailed a link and a note about this thread to Support. I hope they can check it out and let us know something. ^_^

please check out the solutions:
Option 1:
1.Click "Write" to access compose letter interface
2.Key in some random content
3.Switch to "Notes"
4.Select content you would like to copy
5.Back to game, compose letter interface
6.Paste

Option 2:
a. Open "Notes" and select content you would like to copy
b. Back to Haypi app, click "Write" to compose letter interface
c. Paste

We've tested on Touch 4th generation, both 5.0 and 5.0.1 OS with 3.06 official version. In-game copy n paste and copy from Notes/Email and paste to in-game letters works as well.

Thanks for the response I have tested both methods but the results are a fail. There is no paste option.
When using option 1, since there was text, there are options for select or select all, no paste.
When using option 2, there is no menu at all, since there was no text.

iPhone 3Gs
Game version is the most recent update
iOS version is 4.3.5

I will have to see if I can get info on other broken users' versions as well....

Another player in my alliance says this happens to him on both:
iPhone 4, iOS 4.3.3
iPhone 4s, iOS 5.0.1
both running the latest game version.
