Alliance suggestion
Problems I see with the current alliance system:
As for a player that played this game for less than a month, an alliance to me means two things: 1) another chat room besides the World Channel and 2) protection, I was hoping to join an alliance so that others won’t attack me. I know there are some more things I can do with an alliance, but as far as I understand, an alliance can take Mines which would generate honor points for its members. But I really don’t know what can honor points do besides giving a player a metal next to their name. Besides, I believe all new players would be busy building up their city and army and before we are strong enough to fort farming, we definitely don’t have the extra resources to donate to the alliance for some useless honor points.
Personally, I think in order to encourage players to be more involved in their alliance and feel more attached to it, there must be some advantages the can help the player directly.
Rants over. Here are some suggestions:
1. Alliance resource farms: As far as I know, there are three ways for an alliance to gain resources. 1) Alliance daily gift, 2) donation from its members and 3) buy from alliance market with alliance coins. I think an alliance should have its own resource farms like we do. A level 1 alliance should come with one of each resource farms (wood, stone, iron and crop), the leader and vice leaders can use the alliance resources to upgrade each farm from level 1 to 20. (level 1 to 15 will be using alliance resources; level 16 to 20 will be using alliance coins) For every 5 levels, the alliance will gain another set of level 1 farm.
2. Alliance resource bonus: Now that we have our own alliance resource farms and contribution points, why don’t we make them more useful? Each member will gain a bonus % of the alliance hourly resource income and add to all of his/her city and subs based on his/her contribution points. For example, my alliance has a level 10 Lumber Mill which generates 1000 wood per hour. I have 10000 contribution points in this alliance. Therefore, my city and my subs will produce 1% of my alliance wood production (10) more woods per hour.
3. Alliance Temple: This is a new function for our alliance, where the leader can activate bonus skill(s) to buff all members.
How it works:
When an alliance is formed, a Temple will be built (it can be just a new button in the alliance interface) with 1 skill point. When the alliance levels up, the temple will gain 1 skill point. The leader can use these skill points to learn and level up the bonus skills, each skill has 5 levels. Only one bonus skill can be activate each time and there is a 24 hours cool down after each activation.
Bonus skills:
• Increase Lumber Production (Lv1/2/3/4/5): Increases all members’ wood product by 10/20/30/40/50% for 4/8/12/16/20 hours.
