This latest round of PVP is a perfect example as to why my system needs to be implemented. I've wiped numerous players around me and most haven't bothered to rebuild. Mid way through pvp is extremely boring as many players quit from being wiped.

A player losing their army is discouraging, a player losing all of their prestige makes them quit.

It may make you feel good to wipe their army and take all of their prestige, however if they quit, then you will end up losing all of that potential future pp.

Have to agree with muku. Any player will be able to trade armies the whole time just sending and taking pres from others. And yes the idea everyone had in mind for allaince wars is still I must say much better than what we have and would have incouraged way more war. Also most players don't quit cause they lost pp it's the army they care about. And will they not still be losing that??

Players can already (and do) use alts to boost their pp. Half the players in pvp are alts.

I would strongly disagree that players care about their armies. I can rebuild a large army within a few days, however it would take months to regain my pp if my army was wiped.

A poll would probably solve that question.

You gain pp if you rebuild...If you're not gaining it back in that massive rebuild you're probably cheating...support check?

high levels muku. if you lose say 0/100/0/60 you lose 1 mill prestige... but in order to rebuild that you will only receive around 400-500k pp at level 19/20.

maybe a compromise could be made and the pp calculator could be that the winner would gain 1 mill and the loser would lose only 500k in this scenario therefore making the general flow of pp smoother.

i agree that i dont care about my army as well it is easily rebuilddable its losing prestige that is the proper downer
how do you let people know if your hot cakes are selling well?

Sure the pp is annoying but aren't we talking about eraly in pvp and new servers where army is everything? Where it is hard to build back army

I'm talking about older servers where everyone has the army and resources but too afraid to use it. Finding good hits is extremely hard on s102 right now as losing your army generally equates to hundreds of thousands of lost pp.

You can see the same effect in pvp. Your rank is based on pp, so if you are wiped then not only do you lose your army, you also lose most of you pp (down to your base for your rank). It's a bit of a double-whammy.

If they change around the system and allow both sides to gain pp (with the winner gaining bonus pp) then the loser is more likely to rebuild.

There has to be some PENALTY though. If there's no penalty then everybody just throws around willy nilly. It deflates the purpose of enhancing your gear. Building your wall. Hunting your troops. You just build and leave out the troops until somebody kills them. You keep your perfect army size and earn pp even faster for less work. If there's no risk of losing then what's the point? As you're saying, building an army is easy. There's no negative in that. You need something to contradict or there's no competition. And I repeat, the amount of feeding this would encourage is out of this world. Right now people have to play multiple accounts and put in effort if they're going to cheat. Here you get two friends opposite alliances, they get their army to the desired amount in every day they throw their 50k worth of builds at one another. One gets 50k the other 25k everybody is happy. Switch the next day. I want more fighting too, but this encourages cheating as much as fighting. People just need to man up. High risk high reward.

Bottom line is that every server is suffering from inactivity. There are probably numerous factors involved, so this is just one possible solution. I personally hate scouting hundreds of times for a single hit. I also hate having an opposing army of 80k cavs and 400k archers showing up at my door and the only thing I can do is hide.

I realized a long time ago that it would be nearly impossible for me to crack the top 10 on s102 simply because there is not enough activity to reach that level. I probably wouldn't mind the alt feeding as much either if it generated more server activity. At least at that point I'm actually playing the game rather than sitting in AC and scouting around.

Or what if instead the person who lost the battle only gains prestige if they command, and if they dont command they lose like normal? This would cause people to continue hunting and worrying about starving.
