i see the point but what happens when you are unlucky and dont get a lucky double hit. surely the unreliability of this idea is its downfall

Thanks for the guide. I think you are right. luck is not a good one to max out if you plan to make a lot of attacks for prestige. luck has a very low percentage rate so it would just have to be dumb luck on a big hit for it to pay off... of course if you are on the receiving end of the dumb luck then you will be left feeling like a schmuck.

I use luck. I love it. I get about 3 lucky double's per hit on a fort. 1-3 on hits depending on how long the battle is.
