I'm glad I came around to this thread before I posted my threat suggesting my ideas (the types I wanted to suggest was already listed).

I was thinking Pikeman would be a very nice addition to Haypi and it'd fit in perfectly!

I was also thinking of a heavy armour troop that carries a battle axe?

I hope we get a 5th troop someday! It doesn't feel "complete" with only the four we have now.

I guess its time put in my thoughts...

I don't think there should be any new troops/unit.

It would change so much...

However any got added I'd like Pikeman the most..

Hi
Really support the fact to bring some new units in this game.
This would bring some fresh air and some positive change in current "strategy" players are usually following (Cf Cav & Cats main use)

New units could be not "war-oriented" or could be added in the game only for a limited period of time e.g. at Xmas(on top or to replace 1 current type of unit)

Yes pike men sound great cav are to powerful on haypi at the moment but the fact is arc and inf are not worth building any more . Its arc I have a problem with today I found 1k cats out but only had 12k arc in the sub near it so I checked the barrack stats on what u need to kill that many cats with arc plus I had 15 ech sword and armour and the other person had no equip so I when for it only to lose against 1k cats with 12k arc I checked the war report and my 12k arc only killed 600 cats in the round I hit his cats
So I think then need to sort out arc first before making or adding more units

As for elephants, of course. Who remembers the scene in the movie 300 where there is a rhino charging at the Spartans and one of the spartans kills it with a spear? This is both the most historically correct part of the movie, and a perfect metaphor for elephants. Elephants should be like a stronger, slower form of cavs, and should be treated as a large number of cavs. 100 elephants should be considered as quite a large army, as Hannibal tore apart Rome in the 2nd Punic war with only 12. Instead of crossbowmen, how about javelin throwers? ranged units similar to pikemen? And also, I think there should be more strategy to commanding, like flanking maneuvers that earn attack bonuses, and troop formations such as phalanxes or inf protecting arch and cats . Also, I think that the wall should be fleshed out more. You should need to breach the wall with cats in a siege. And finally, you should be able to surrender, which gives up the pres you wouldve won/lost, without killing one's troops (iffy idea, i know, too abusable, but dont just shoot it down. its a suggestion.) I am aware that not all these changes should be made at one time.

The pikeman is the best idea on here. Cavs are way over powered lol

1. War Elephants- High life, medium attack, high defense, medium range, low speed, medium overload, high crop consumption.

2. Chariots- Medium life, low attack, medium defense, high range, high speed, medium overload, high crop consumption

3. Ballistas- High life, high attack, medium defense, very high range, low speed, low overload, high crop consumptions.

4. Pikemen- Low life, low attack, medium defense, medium range, medium speed, medium overload, low crop consumption.

5. Snipers (crossbow men)- Low life, high attack, low defense, high range, medium speed, medium over load, low crop consumption.
