Power of Cavalry

Just today I was wondering how strong are Cavalry?I understand their Speed is a great advantage, and being able to move accros the battlefield in 2moves byt can they farm forts without having tremendous losses with prayer?

Re: Power of Cavalry

cav are great for farming forts and other players for resources when you have them in large enough numbers. The convenient thing about them is that you can send an attack, and then not command, making them very easy to work with. The other thing about them, is youll probablly suffer some troop loss when using them, therefore its important to use the Heal skill.

When using cav, I suggest maxing speed attribute and marching skill, as well as heal skill. Opinions are always conflicting as to whether you should focus on attack tech/attribute or defense tech/attribute.

Re: Power of Cavalry

i have looked into this and ive seen people take lvl 10 forts and only lose 100 or so cavs. so far my cav army farms up to lvl 5 forts and this is what i lose

1-3
2-5
3-9
4-13
5-20

i however do have pretty good stats so that does factor in
how do you let people know if your hot cakes are selling well?

Re: Power of Cavalry

yes this dude clearly has a high defense attribute and tech as well as enhanced armor. likely he has a maxxed heal skill as well (which is paramount if you run cavs).

Ultimately, a very strong case can be made for cav being the best unit in the game, however, they are not for the beginner as it takes a lot of time and money (in game money or coins)to invest in the unit to maximize their true potential.

To determine any units capabilities, check out the guide 'Modified troop ratings' (http://www.haypi.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=59&t=6431) in the guide section of these forums.
