You seem to think we are complaining because it takes a few seconds for the server to respond. The server is NOT responding. To login takes hours of trying you get to do one or two commands, and you're kicked out again. I tried to buy a second coins worth of crop to avoid starving my troops. It took 15 minutes to do this one single command. If it had taken only a few seconds longer they would have starved. For the past hour I've been trying to switch cities to move some crop to feed my troops. I can't do that because it always fails.
Go onto WC on S77 and every single person, including many players who have had accounts on other servers, is complaining.
It's not really a case of "don't play". I CAN'T play.
So... are you able to access the server?
and Haypi is working on the issue. Be patient.
Right now, the server is functioning, but laggy. That I can live with.
Before the server suddenly came back, it would give errors on approx 3/4 of attempted commands. That includes all the implied commands which are part of the login sequence. I can for example tell that there is one request which tells the app how much money and coins there is, and another request for the amount of the 5 types of resources a city can have, because sometimes it would fail between the two requests.
The results of this was that logging in was almost impossible. Earlier today, I spend two hours doing nothing but starting the app, clearing error messages, and when it got stuck with nothing but communication error screens, killing the app to try again. After two hours of this, I eventually got logged back in again.
If you eventually got in, you could sometimes join chat, and if you did the chat function would work.
However being able to access the chat function does not mean that the server was playable, as chat is not the playable part of the game. Trying to do any commands would again give you network errors.
For example, on the move of crops out of one city to feed my troops. I would click on the city icon, and maybe get an error message. If I got the city list, and clicked on the enter city button I might get an error message again. If I got into my city, I'd then have to bring up the city dialog again - this could still give me the error message. If it did, I would end up back in my main city, and would have to start again. If I eventually got to press the dispatch button, then in this case every time I got an error message. I never got to transfer my crops.
That was only one example, every command I could give would almost certainly give errors today. Trying to recall troops from a hunt, bringing up a map, entering mail, opening the market, switching resources in the market, and trying to buy crops using coins.
It's not possible to play under these circumstances. It was all I managed to do to avoid my troops starving to death. In fact, If I hadn't spent two coins on crops, they would have starved to death.
Telling people to be patient is not helpful when this is a real time game, where the delays mean that there are real effects on your simulated troops.
