New Expert Nomination Idea

Personally, I very much like this idea. It would be great since support of course can't be on 24/7, and having a temp expert on a server to watch would be very helpful in finding experts in all time zones.

I like the idea of a new system for expert nominations. I would love to see it being required that current experts are ok with the person and the person has a interview type meeting with other experts and is evaluated secretly in chat. I would also like to see a "PROBATIONARY" period for all new experts due to recent choices.

i concur completely dont just give it to them and then review them every so often, review them intensely fora few weeks then let them fly and review every so often

That's why we include public opinion a well . If we go with a 5:2 ratio then if it would be possible we can just ask the expert/s to give their opinion, so wouldn't neccicerly need a experts vouch

Back on topic your expert idea is good, makes it a lot fairer. Experts will have knowledge of the game and the probationary period sounds good.

we get Veteran experts to come along and talk to the less experienced experts
to solve problems etc.

thats the point an experienced expert should always be ready to join a new server as soon as it opens to help them out. many experts are thrown in the deep end on new servers and some fail miserably so a mentoring system would be awesome

Excellent Idea.

Would definitely let new experts become more familiar with the way they are suppose to act and help with what should be done as an expert.

A problem I see are the current Experts - many of them are inactive or generally just poor Experts, and might not vouch for a suitable candidate.

That is a possibility, so why not make like a panel of active and honest experts and mods, and support. Or you could say that they need mod approval....
