What the hell? Cavs vs Cats

When a cavalry moves forward and a catapult moves backwards the cavalry doesn't even get to attack? How is this fair? Catapults already have the huge advantage of shooting most of the way across the field and have meatshields. The faster troop should attack BEFORE the opponent moves because well, its a faster troop..

This should definitely be fixed

I don't know. I think it is creates a more balanced playing field between the cat heavy armies vs the cav heavy armies. Thats just going off stuff I've heard. I've never really had a huge army of either type, so I'm probably not the best person to comment..

actually cav are slighhlty better than cav as they are 1, quicker amd 2, it takes 2 cats to kill 1 cav roughly. this evens the fight if the cats are clever and can get in a preferable position to allow them to move backwards when the cavs hit

but let me explain it in basics in battle 6 things happen in an order

1.fastest side moves
2.slowest side moves
3. fastest side attacks
4.slowest side retaliates
5.slowest side attacks#
6. fastest side retaliates

noww look at this in a round where cavs should hit cats

1. cav move forward to right in front of cats
2. cats move away
3-6. if cats have moveed more than 48 hexes of the battlefield (aka the ashooting range of cavs then thhe cats are safe as they cant reach them

Cavalry will always attack before catapults no matter which side has more speed though.

cavs are slightly better.... unless the cats are defenders. thats because the defending troops always attack first. after the defenders, the troops with the most speed attack first. so, with high speed, cavs are better

So what your saying is that even with a max speed cav army, defending catapults will still attack first?

Catapults have meatshields, this moving backwards thing makes no sense at all. Theres a guy on my server with 25k cats and after learning this, he is literally impossible to defeat unless using insane amounts of cavalry or defending with more cats than him.

There's no point in having a cav army anymore.

no the person with the troops with the highest total speed taking into account the base speed of the unit types available will attack first. in a straight cavs vs cat battle cavs should attack first even if there speed is only around the 50-60 mark
