my tips
I recommend keeping this in your inbox for reference, I use mine all the time.
Tip #1
Never EVER leave troops in your city. Troops at home are a welcome sign for attacks. Always have them hunting when you're not using them! And don't forget to call them back after occupying an oasis or a fort (in the Cities tab).
Tip #2
If your warehouse is filling up and you have nothing to upgrade, sell the resources to market for highest price. No one will buy them and you'll always have extra resources when needed! It's like having a bank for your resources!
Tip #3
When you're occupying an Oasis or Fortified Point (Fort), always set all of your troops to wait and let your catapults fight the enemy troops as they come your way. Once the enemy troops are cleared (and turrets, if there are any), use your infantry only to wipe out the traps.
Tip #4
When hunting, I believe it's best to leave your army out 8-12 hours, any longer has proven to be pointless to me. You can hunt any unoccupied oasis (or one that you are currently occupying). It's level makes no difference, but higher troop numbers will get you better results. Hunt Catapults with Archers and Calvary with Infantry!
Tip #5
Farm your inactive neighbors to boost your resources. Scout them first to make sure they're inactive so you don't start a war with a neighbor. Signs of inactivity are an even number of resources (you'll typically see 800, 2000, or 3700), no troops, a name starting with ha_a, and no alliance.
# of Each Resource Troops Can Carry
Infantry = 20
Calvary = 25
Archer = 10
Catapult = 10
Calvary are the best to carry resources, but infantry aren't bad either. I did some math for you so you know how many you need:
800 units of resources = 32 calvary or 40 infantry
1000 units = 40 calvary or 50 infantry
1600 units = 64 calvary or 80 infantry
2000 units = 80 calvary or 100 infantry
3700 units = 148 calvary or 185 infantry
Tip #6
Fortified Points (Forts) give money per hour and never lose levels.
Fort Level - Output/hr - # of cats needed to occupy with no losses
1 - $20 - 250
2 - $40 - 500
3 - $60 - 800
4 - $80 - 1300
5 - $100 - 2000
6 - $120 - 3600
7 - $140 - 6000
8 - $160 - 9000
9 - $180 - 13000
10 - $200 - 18000
Tip #7
Oasises give resources per hour. Once you occupy it, it will lose a level every 24 hrs until it reaches 0. Then you automatically lose it.
Oasis Level - Output/hr- # of cats needed to occupy with no losses:
1 - 100 - 5
2 - 200 - 10
3 - 350 - 25
4 - 550 - 50
5 - 850 - 75
6 - 1250 - 100
7 - 1900 - 200
8 - 2700 - 400
9 - 3700 - 800
