The Addiction (article entry)

So this is my second entry, it will be rather long but I think it will be entertaining.
This is completely a work a fiction

Chapter 1 The Discovery
A UPS truck pulled up to an apartment building, it was dawn and the sun was just beginning to show it's face.
The driver checked the package, this was the correct address.
He climbed the stairs to third floor and placed the package outside of Room 41. He then rang the doorbell and returned to his truck and next deliveries.
The door creaked open where a man picked up the package and returned inside.
He quickly drank the last of his morning coffee and used a box cutter to slice open the package.
Inside was his sleek new iPod.
Beaming with anticipation he connected it to his laptop and began downloading his music. He adjusted all the setting so they were just right and once satisfied he browsed the app store.
As he scrolled through the free apps one game in particular caught his eye.
"Haypi Kingdom," he muttered to himself.
He read the description and decided to test it out.
Install.
Once it was finished he opened an was greeted by a message welcoming him to Haypi Kingdom.
Following instructions the man started by doing the simple tasks provided him.
Upgrade Warehouse, Scout, send a letter.
Out of curiosity he checked the tabs, alliance, management, action, and finally chat.
The very first post he saw was "I know, ive only been playing this game a day and I'm already addicted"
He went back to the tasks and changed his name to Addicted41.
After a little more messing around he closed the app and left for work.

Chapter 2 Enjoyment
That afternoon as he came back from work and got settled in, he decides to play some more.
This time he actually talked in chat, "so what's this game about?"
"just having fun" came a reply.
Well it seemed like a fun way to pass time, he thought.
"You need an alliance?" was the next post.
"yes"
"join mine"
An advertisement followed.
So he joined that alliance and started talking in alliance chat where they helped him train troops, take oasis, and level up.
He eventually got tired and went to sleep.

For the next week he checked his account every morning and played for a few hours every night.
He was beginning to like this game.

Chapter 3 The Denial
The apartment was all quiet until a phone ring woke Addicted41 up.
He grabbed his iPod which he now kept next to his bed and went to answer it.
"Hey how come you never call me anymore."
It was his girlfriend, whom he had been ignoring the past week.
"What do you mean?"
"We haven't gone out for a whole week!"
"Uh, then how about we do something today, I'm off work."
"Okay, when shou-" she was interrupted.
"Yeah! There we go!" he had received an alliance letter that his alliance had beaten another in a war and gone up two ranks.
"What was that?"
"What, oh, nothing I'll be there in a minute."
With that he logged off and left.

Later when he returned, he went straight to his iPod.
He was now level 6 and desperately needed a gem to reach level 7.
An in his haste he had already spent all his thirty starting coins.
He checked the resources tab, tapped buy coins and downloaded a dozen free apps.
He was only two coins short.
His gaze lingered on the buy coins option.
"Im not gonna waste my money on a game."
He logged off.

Chapter 4 The Addiction
Addicted41 woke up and instead of drinking his morning coffee went straight to his iPod and the app that had become his life.
Over the course of the last seven days he had spent his entire savings account on coins, forsaken friends and family, broken up with his girlfriend, been fired from his job.
But it had payed off, he was now level 15 and leader of his own rank 2 alliance.
He had left his former rank 1 alliance and started his own.
The Addicted.
He ruled with an iron fist, farming and threatening all the other alliances.
But when his money ran out, so did his power.
He ran outside, in the cool morning air, to the nearest ATM.
Shoving the woman using it out of the way.
"Insidficient Funds"
"Nooo!!!!"
Panic, anger, confusion, addiction.
He needed that crown!
"Give me your money!" he shouted at the bystanders, some of which ran, others stood and stared in shock.
He screamed and took of to the nearest gas station.
He busted in brandishing his boxcutter.
"What do you want?" the cashier asked in fear.
"ITunes Cards!"
The cashier proceeded to hand over all the iTunes cards in stock.
Addicted41 was just leaving, when he heard sirens.
A shopper had called the police.
A few hours later, the hostage situation had been resolved.
The crazed man with a boxcutter had agreed to let the cashier and shoppers go and turn himself in if his one demand was met.
Addicted41 is now in a militarized insane asylum, his screams of joy, hate, and God knows what else even frighten the serial killer in the next cell.
He sits there alone, with just an iPod with nothing on it but a single app.

Haypi Kingdom

So beware, he is playing the same game as you, hey could be in your server, maybe you've talked to him in chat, or maybe he is even in your alliance.
The End

Alright so the moral of this story is, it's a game have fun with it.
