farming them for resources, then using the resources to gain prestige from training or upgrading

Re: Guide to Gaining Prestige

I've attacked cities that had traps and turrets which I lost some troops but not as many as on their side. Why did I get 0 pres?

Re: Guide to Gaining Prestige

War Prestige:
When a battle is over, the winning party gains war prestige (>=0), and the losing party loses war prestige (<=0).
When war prestige drops to the lowest number of your title, it won't drop any more.

Ware prestige=A-R*B
A stands for the losing party's loss
B stands for the winning party's loss
R stands for a weighting coefficient. The coefficient counts in calculating battle losses when one party is of overwhelmingly stronger than the other in a battle.

Considering that the battle may be easier for the stronger party and tougher for the weaker party, each party's prestige will be adjusted by a coefficient so that the stronger party can not take full advantage of the one-sided battle and the weaker party won't suffer from sheer defeat. If both parties are of the same level, the coefficient is 1.

Re: Guide to Gaining Prestige

So then how do you figure the coefficient? Does that go by city lvl or by troop numbers?

Thank you, I do remember seeing that now at the help window, but forgot about that. I just didn't understand the coefficient and how to figure that out.

Re: Guide to Gaining Prestige

Yeah that would be aweome. Get me your final war report and I should be able to reverse calculate what the coefficient is. Give a a couple to be sure it works out correctly.
