War strategy: checking between different troops

We have added a new feature - checking between different troops in an attempt to enable more strategy space in playing Hapyi Kingdom and make the game more vivid and vitual battlefield. Checking of different troops means that a troop may be advantageous when attacking certain troops and disadvantegous when attacking other troops.

Put it simple, the attack of the catapults is reduced to 1/5 when attacking the turret.

The attack of the long range troop is reduced to 1/4 in a close battle.

I'm a bit confused... Wouldn't a turret have a higher advantage against a short range troop at a distance? It be helpful to see the change of effectiveness in a ranged point system based on distance from target >.>

Re: War strategy: checking between different troops

I don't see gun towers being very useful anyway. Catapults have a higher range, so even if they are protected against cats, it just takes a little longer to take them down, but the cats are invulnerable, because they are out of range. Range of tower should be able to match range of catapult for them to be remotely useful.

PS. a trap can't attack a tower and vice versa. Would be nicer to see a dash in the table between tower and trap. Just cosmetics, I guess.

It doesn't seem very accurate. There are too many facts to consider. For example: 10k cats can take out about 25k foots at a distance. That is an innacuracy. Then looking at archers. They can kill a good amount of foot soldiers. But when they get close archers are slaughtered by foot soldiers.

No, it is the multiplier against the attack statistic of the unit. Take for example the troop attack stat of 75. I assume that the multiplier 1.5 against cavalry would mean the attack stat increases to 112.5. The defense stat of a cavalry is around 175. Therefore, assuming equal attack and defense stats of the General, it would take two to kill one and some cavalry.

Make sense?

Re: War strategy: checking between different troops

Also what decide which player attack first? For example, in evony, the player with the highest range attack first....is it the same here?
