Referrals and alliance map

2 questions
1. I thought when someone refers you they are put on your server. Why is my friend on a different one?
2. what exactly is an alliance map and what does it do?

1. no they are not put on your own server
2. alliance map shows the position of all your allies cities

no it literally takes a snapshot of that moment in time and thats it

1. Refers use to put people on the same server when the game didn't have as many people. Now since the account is made as a Ha_xx before changing name and entering the person as a refer they are already on a server before putting in the name. So at this time they are going to probably be on a diff server than you unless you are on the newest server.
2. It takes the current position of where everyone is located(this includes their main, all subs, all oasis', and all forts) also it never updates.

An example of an alliance map can be found here. When you create an alliance map, it sends a message to all the members of your alliance with the url of the map.

Alliance maps are ironic, because they are more helpful for enemies than the alliance, which is why if a spy makes an alliance map it's not good. Lol

Referrals: you may refer someone after your server has been set and your name been changed. you may not switch servers as it is random

alliance map: very helpful if a spy makes an alliance map and shares with their own alliance. not very useful at all as you can just ask you alliancemates in a private chat where their cities/etc... are

now that there are so many servers and the old ones are full, they are put in the newest server (that isnt full). And allaince maps allow you to see exactly where everyone's cities from your allaince are on the map (the coordinates.)
