Is it wrong to tell non-English speakers to be quiet in wc?

I may get a lot of disagreement with me over this, but earlier today in world chat, an expert told Korean speaking members to speak only in Private Chat. His reason was because he couldn't understand what they were saying. In fact he used justification along the lines of "they insulted me once and I didn't know that until I had to go translate it." And another member said that foreign languages made him feel threatened. Honestly, I felt this Expert was very out of line for saying this and for enforcing this rule of his.

Now, I know that there are a lot of English speaking users on this game. But this game was not made in America and is not available only in America. I felt it very rude and discriminatory for this expert to say that English was the only language that could be used in world chat, and that all others must speak in private chat.

Does anyone else find this kind of rule and action to be discriminatory?

No, they can use their language, but they can't swear in their language as in English. You should talk to support about this, sending also screenshots. Send an e-mail to kingdomsupport@haypi.com

That can't possibly be the rule. That's way too discriminatory. It sounds like it's a "rule" that English-speaking users tried to create, and not an official rule endorsed by Haypi.

I can't find anything in the rules of the game that would support this kind of action. If anything the rules actually seem to disfavor this kind of thing

Yes, It is wrong to tell non english speakers to be quiet in wc. Mostly because it is racist and discriminatory but also because speaking in another language is not going against the rules. Others may use their own languages, but they must not go against the rules in the other language.

So filtering words about sexual orientation is also discriminatory, most experts I've known are either like this or allow it but also translate it

I don't see the connection between talking about sexual orientation and disallowing an entire language to spoken in wc.

Furthermore, filtering out words about sexual orientation, on its own, is not discriminatory. If I were to type a word about a sexual orientation, it brings no bearing on my actual sexual orientation. That is not discrimination. It would become discrimination if the expert said "Nobody of [X] sexual orientation can type in wc"

Your analogy doesn't make a logical connection.

Yes non english speakers should be allowed to talk in WC as they are entitled to use it as much as English speakers. Any experts who disallow it merely on the justification that they cannot understand the language are wrong and need to read the experts agreement again

Experts may get a warning from support if they mute someone for speaking another language!

Re: Is it wrong to tell non-English speakers to be quiet in wc?

You are allowed to speak other languages in wc, the expert can however kindly ask you to take it to PM if there is only 2 people conversing (you do not have to, but it would make the experts job alot easier).

If the expert finds that the people speaking another language are breaking any rules, then they will be warned accordingly.

If this expert mutes people for speaking a differnent language, and they did not break any rules, then please SS it and send it to support.
