Hunt

Should I hunt my troops all together or in two groups (infs with cavs and archers with cats)?
On my server everyone says it's better hunt in two groups, but I read on the forum that a lot of players hunt with all troops in a group.
What is better?

P.S. I read this on the forum too:
Stone oases=better chance of hunt a gem
Iron oases=better chance of hunt an armor or a sword
Wood oases=better chance to hunt a manual or a ring
Crop oases=better chance to hunt a horse

Is this true?

Re: Hunt

Hunting results depends on army size, hunting time, army speed, fortune stat and how long since someone else have hunted in the same oasis.

People usually split their army to hunt with just cavs and inf in one group and archers and cats in the other, this is to improve army speed of the hunting group.

You may choose to do that however it also despends on the situation, if you have a very large group of cats and archer army in the same city with your cavs and inf then it's better to hunt together as a big group. However if the cats and archers you have is not that large compare to the cavs and inf group then split them up would be better.

Army size is a bigger factor than army speed, so experiment with different combinations and note your results, you will be able to get a better idea in no time.

As for the type of oasis affecting hunting results, as far as I know it's just a myth and there are no concrete proof to the theory, however if a dev can clarify that it would be good.

Re: Hunt

let me just add to this by saying i get the best results when i hunt in three groups, cavs, inf and archers and cats together,

depending on what you wish to recieve should depend on how much you hunt with, if your hunting army pulls around the NPC price of a treasure then there is a chance that it will turn into a treasure or equipment. if you want to hunt money i recommend splitting army into smaller groups and doing quick hunts of 2-3 hours
how do you let people know if your hot cakes are selling well?

It's all relative to your army.

For example if you have 10k inf and 6k cavs in one city, and in the same city you keep another 5k archers and 6k cats, I would tend to send them all on hunts together as the cats and archers make up a considerably large group.

On the other hand, if you have something like 15k inf and 20k cavs in one city and 1k archers and 2k cats, then it's better to split them up to hunt with just inf and cav in one group and cats and archer in the other.

Re: Hunt

Hunt:
Go to "MAP" to choose a grid to "Enter". You'll have options like "Scout", "Occupy", "Hunt", etc. Send your troops to hunt in oases, and they may bring back money or treasure after a certain period of time.

Hunt and harvest:
The hunt and harvest strategy may alter as we're always working to improve the algorithm. But these rules are always consistent:

The more troops you send to hunt and the faster the troops march, the better harvest you may get.
Theoretically, the longer you troops hunt, the better harvest you may get. If the troops hunt for over 8 hours, you may get extraordinary harvest.
The higher fortune points you have, the better harvest you may get.
If you hunt in an oasis which has just been hunted by another player, the possibility of harvest may be low. If you happen to hunt in an oasis which is untouched for long, the possibility of harvest may be high.

So... Should I hunt my troops all together?
