Well I was about to create a new thread for this oases issue ... Glad to see one already started !
Firstly ive played the game for over 2 years and been in the top 20 for a considerable amount of time on server 66/119 and 96.
So before someone tries to put me down or say I dont know what i'm talking about ... I do so read carefully !
First point ... The game was much better when the alliance rank board was determined by combining induvidual prestige to a total sum ... This kept the game alive as people who quit playing was soon dropped and as wars raged between allianes it was clear to see who was gaining the upper hand.
Once the mine wars was introduced this did put a new spin on the game but resulted in having to rely your alliance as a whole ... This resulted in alot of farming, time and donating leaving personal armies on the back foot.
Thankfully alot of people realised this feature was introduced for another means for haypi to get people to spend $$$ which nothing reflected in your own personal gain except a small medal revealing how much resource you dump into an empty space ... So the following year we play as normal watching the places gain and loss on the player prestige rank board and finally excitement as a new, long awaited updated is unveiled I
So what do we get !?
A new daily gift system that, you guessed it, you can now spend coins to try again. So far I have seen nothing special from this daily gift.
Also I believe the turrets are better!? This makes no odds since if you are attacking someone the wall defence is a given and losses are expected!
The map screen has been reduced along with other pixels such as the tab icons and resource numbers. A quick fix to migranes and strained eyes.
Being able to upgrade equip to level 20 is ... Ok but the market has not been considered as resource plummets to rock bottom and, oh yeah cant buy/sell equip over level 1 !
The annoying horn icon has appeared which only takes you to daily gift screen along with the new activity tab ... Which does the same thing!
Along with a couple of tweaks, some good, example hunting time niw says 1day xx hrs and finally oases resigned actually disapear from oades screen resulting in less confusion so plus points however (finaly) the oases issue.
previously oases stood for 24 hrs, this helped people maintain an army and able to play safe in the knowledge their armies were well fed. Introducing a random oases drop is like shooting yourselves in the foot who will pay for a game when their hard earned time and efforts in prkducing an army can randomly starve. You say play without ... Then why bother !
This is clearly another attempt from haypi to get people to spend $$$ to up crops and increase crop output.
I admit I used to spend $20 religiously a week when I enjoyed playing now I dont do either, its becoming an effort to play and enjoy so why would I sink $$$ into this anymore!?
If you want to improve the game you need to consider all aspects such as if you are going to mess with the market and give us the option to upgrade equip with money (oh and coins) at least give us a chance to gain money via farming forts or people.
My opinion (and many others) scrap the random oases shift before its to late because it is going to kill the game.
Make sure all glitches are fixed such as when you attack 2 cities from one player at the same time the 2nd command is messed up (there are more)
And invest in some new support and moderators as peple generally dont like being irrated by staff who are meant to be here to support and help !
