I had forgotten all about ballaz and this silly post he started and never contributed to......
First.....for the guy who said you can take out lv10 turrets with no losses. You are right. This ABSOLUTELY can be done, but the only two instances where it is a viable option are if the defender has no cats cuz my money says, if he has lv10 turrets, he likely has lv10 shooting as well and he'll destroy your slow, turtle like catapults with his, which WILL be faster.
The other instance is if there are no troops present and you just wanna knock down his turrets for futures sake.
In both instances, you will probably not gain prestige, so what's the point?
What I do, is keep an alt acct that is equipped properly to take out lv10 turrets without being hit at all by them, if I ever need to take them out for any reason, and then attack with my main acct.
If you set up your army to take out turrets with no losses, it's gonna be fairly useless for battle due to it's low initiative, unless youre fighting a cav army, which makes it a better option. In this case, and this is the only case, it makes traps better than turrets. But why would anyone prepare for this scenario? Most players of this game have absolutely NO idea how this is done, thus the puzzled responses to the people who said it, meaning you could probably never ever face an opponent with untouchable turret clearing capability for your entire Haypi career! I know I have never seen someone do it, and only one person ever figured out how I did it, when I knocked down their turrets with no losses! Everyone else either claimed I was somehow cheating or exploiting a glitch....
So in a nutshell, aside from a few rare situations, and for the reasons that Taem, backburner and Rico said, turrets are greater than and NOT equal to traps! Lmao! I love when I find a target with traps! It makes my mission soooooo much easier!
