Hunting: Cavalry vs. Infantry

Is it more efficient to hunt with infantry or cavalry?

I've heard a bunch of different things, but I've just been making a lot of infantry since they are cheap to build and maintain. Would using cavalry yield much better hunts for less resources?

Not only do cavalry have higher speed but they can also carry more. If i had the choice of hunting 100 cavalry and 100 infantry i would choose cavalry every time.

Infantry are better overall hunters.

1 calvary hunt better than 1 infantry, but 4 infantry can hunt almost twice as well as 1 cav when you take crop consumption into it.

i currently hunt with 40k cavs, it yields me 20-25k every 8 hours, but if I hunted with 80k inf, I would get a much larger hunt. But Infs are pretty useless in battle so I chose to use Cavs.

On a side note, if you just want gold, harvest every 2 hours. With my Cavs I hunt 10k+ every 2 hours, Im just too lazy to harvest and I want the chance to get treasures with longer hunts.

infantry gains more treasure, but you do need more of them. cavalry almost always gives money.

So to answer your question: infantry is more efficient if you take it to crop consumption equivalency.

no, infantry are always better, they bring in more gold and therefore better treasure pre crop usage, weather you are worried about it or not
