Question about crop consumption

I'm at level 10 and my crops are lvl 14 each, each output is at 1000, so 4 of them makes 4000 for crops. I have 1800 calavary soldiers. But when I click the resource page, the output is only 30/hour. Why is that? I'm afraid that if I try to train more soldiers, the output will reduce to 0 and kill all my soldiers from starvation. I've seen most players have about 5k each for calvary, catapult,infantry, and archers. Wouldn't that amount of soldiers put the crop consumption to negative hundreds?

Troops consume a certain number of crops per unit number.

Infantry - 1 Crop/hr
Cavalry - 4 Crop/hr
Archer - 2 Crop/hr
SeigeEngine - 10 Crop/hr

If it goes negative, it's not really an issue. As long as you always have crops available for your troops to eat, they won't starve. So buying crops on the market would be your best bet from there on.

Take Sy's advice but be sure to check crop often if negitive

5k of each type is only 85k crop an hour, which is pretty easy. Just get lvl 15 crops in all cities, and lvl 9 oases, you may get like -10k crop an hour, but that lasts 45 hours with full lvl 20 warehouse, some people have like 50k cats, they just play a lot and are determined at it
