First off I'll introduce myself. I'm AJ, I go by AJOdin on server 25. I'm new to the game an I seem to understand all the dynamics of the game. However, currently I'm ranked #2, I'm behind the #1 guy by about 30k prestige but still both level 13.

Here's the scenario he moved his base next to mine an wa sucessful with a couple hidden attacks, so he got some of my resources. I then got a notification that he was attacking so instead of attacking me I attacked him at his base that he jumped to my main.

I had 3600 cats, he had 3770 cats. I had 6500 onf, he had 5500 inf..

First round I waited all my units and he moved only hits cats forward for 2 turns and that was all that happened. Then 3rd round came and I still waited and then he moved forward. He killed all of my cats and I was targeting his cats and he lost only 1460. I withdrew the rest of my troops after this.

How is this possible when I have lvl 10 attack, level 10 shooting?
(he did have 3 full lines of turrets, undisclosed level he didn't tell me) any advise what to do next time in this situation?

The answer is quite simple. His speed rating was equal or greater than your own. When this happens, the defender gets the first strike, which in this case was him, not you. Since he had a shoot skill of 10 as well, you both came into range at the same time.
Therefore,he was able to hit your cats first, wiping most of them out and leaving you with a weak counterattack.

Edit: btw, if you didn't move at all, his turrets could not have hit you

This is the exact reason so many generals in this game will swear by speed being the most important attribute and tech to possess.
I myself recommend placing all points into the speed skill when you level up, until it reaches 100. And devote your efforts to upgrading the marching tech to lv 10.

You need a use cav instead of inf, if you did you might have won.

Cats+Cav really don't mix well because of the fact that cats are very slow and cavs are very fast. I would reccomend next time using archers and inf. as shields.

Not true. They actually are the best combo in the game.

Infants are useless for battles, aside from using them to take out traps. I never really understand why people insist on building so many infantries when all of that power can be translated into cavalry.

Take this as experience from a person himself who has had this kinda of army built before.
