Language in chat, I am completely disgusted.

I experienced where an expert was threatening to and muting other players for speaking in a language other than English. He claimed that this a rule according to Haypi. I personally speak English but found this to be racist and disgusting.

I looked for this in the chat rules and saw that racism is banned but nowhere does it say that speaking in another language is forbidden. So I sent a message to support where I have not been given a straight answer on whether or not this is a rule. There should be no reason this should be a rule and that people should be threatened by an "expert" for speaking other languages.

If I get banned for this topic then so be it but at least I was able to speak up for the right reason.

I would love to hear others opinions on this topic.

Actually, if an expert is unable to moderate chat because another language is being spoken that they do not understand, they are allowed to ask the people who are speaking in the different language to please stop or take it to PM. If they do not comply, the expert is allowed to mute them.

It's not a matter of that expert being racist in any sense or fashion. They were just trying to moderate chat as best as they could.

I disagree to my situation. His only excuse for doing it was because there is supposedly a rule that the only language to be spoken in chat is English. I do not see such rule and therefore no one should be muted for it.

Haypi Kingdom is a game made in English. But is available for ALL markets.
Therefore non-English speakers may play the game. and may also sometimes pop into chat. Experts were given the right to copy. so they may copy into a translator. Experts may mute if massive spam of a different language is being placed or if they are not cooperating

in server 23 there are about 50 french people ACTIVE and 3 koreans i make it my duty to copy and paste the instructions to sending in game mail or to pm via chat to get them out of chat b4 an expert mutes them, kad and maty72 have this message if it is needed to. therefore any good samaritan even yourself should do this or an expert. therefore you can translate and reply in their language to communicate with them and give them the fair play that us english speakers get

I have never muted for other languages bein spoken, although I do ask the players, if there are only two, to take it to pm...if there are more than two, it's very easy to tell if they are saying inappropriate things because most languages have tell tale signs of inappropriatness and such. But, on the other hand, if someone downloads an English game, where everyone speaks in English, why make such a big deal about talking in English...obviously you understand it -.-

but again i have korean, french, spanish, and garman, all how to access the pm feature or in game mail.

if the expert is not happy with people speaking other langauges then he should ask them to talk in alliance chat/personal message chat what a fool muting people because of the langauge he should be warned and if he does it again lose his expert title.

The official rule is to be speaking in another language, there has to be a conversation going on with at least 3 people.

If there are two, pm is best, just like spearsink said.

If you feel that this expert was not following these rules, either send screenshots to kingdomsupport@haypi.com or if you know the exact time and you don't have screenshots, you can also send that. Be sure to include a brief explanation of what was going on. You can also go to the expert/mod sub forum and go down to expert complaints. Post the screenpshots or the date, time, expert, and any other important information there.

If the reporting thing isn't working, send the info to a mod.
