My Graphics Assignment

Hello People I’d like to ask a massive favour of you! I’m currently in my last year of high school and for a graphics assignment I need to take a survey. I figured that posting in a forum (like this one) I might get a decent spread and number of answers to the questions I might ask so… Below is a set of Questions. If you feel so inclined to help me out that’s be great! But otherwise you can just leave me to fail. Looking forward to heaps of Answers!!

Question 1: Figure 1 is my logo for a café, based in Australia, which has a type of rustic feel (stereotypical Australian café). (See poll to answer)

Question 2: What do you think of when you first see the logo? Answer in the replies please.

EDITLater.... So here's another question, I origninally designed 2 logos one was the one above and the other will be shown below. I just want to know which logo you like better. (This other logo was meant to be for a cafe that specialised in the trading and displaying of unique hats)

I think the design is elegant in a simple way. It's nice. The only thing that might need some changing are the "P"s. They seem larger than the rest of the letters, and they kinda over power everything else.

Other than that, I think it's a great piece of work.

To be honest, I'm not sure what I think about when I see it. I guess the obvious answer is that it's either a sunrise or sunset.

It's a very nice design with a simple side to it. Personally I believe when I see this design I feel it resembles the desert or possibly warmth linking in with the idea of coffee (that is a normal hot coffee). I do agree with some changes on the 'P's.

By the way when you mean rustic you mean like some kind of old country themed right? Just I have no idea of a new stereotypical Australian cafe because there just like all the other cafes of the modern world.
