I kind of worked that bit out, but it doesn't seem to work out. Wouldn't cats always destroy just over half their number in enemy cats?
It always seems to be 2/3 - which is the stat when you ignore defense, and just take the life.

Trying to work out exactly how it comes into play before I spend any more investment in defense!

Thanks for answering

I've tracked my battles and they come out correctly. Remember to factor in the attack and defense from the tech center, skill qualities, and equipment. When attacking oases and forts, they won't have the armor, sword, manual, or horse bonuses.

Re: How does "defence" work??

wow, never thought that it would be this complicate.

so, overall, it basicaly is like defence can be ignored or not to add the stat points. (?)
Because, most of people mostly build cats for whatever, and what cats do is attack, basicaly, and try to whip the other out asap. And people have troops hunting all the time, whick makes it even less chance to fight with someone for a gerneral player.

But with the 2/3 kills for cats....I don't quite understand it. if cats can only kill 2/3 of the numbers, what does the attcak points do for the cats then....0_0?

Re: How does "defence" work??

Higher attack = Higher damage.

A catapult bast damage is 300, factor in 1% for every point in attack, and 2% for every tech level, and you are looking at a MUCH higher number. Max attack being 300 +100% (max attack Skill) + 20% (lvl 10 tech) +30% (lvl 15 Sword) +15% (lvl 15 Manual) = 795 attack

With a catapult having 450 life with a base 20 defense (no equippables and no points spent on defense), they have an effective life point value of 470. This means you'll kill more than just 2/3 of the opposing army's cats.

The problem with stating yourself in this manner is that you are neglecting speed to hit harder, and if someone has higher speed than you, they attack first, leaving you to attack with whatever you have left.

This being said, your ideal stat arrangement for any player who takes part in the warfare aspect of Haypi Kingdom is Max speed and whatever is left in attack for a Catapult army, with lots of points in Hidden attack, or Max speed and whatever is left in defense for a Cavalry army, with lots of points in heal. If you are only interested in the chat aspect and never attack anything with your troops, Fortune for better hunting yields.

Sorry for forgetting this part.

Leaving your troops hunting is important, there will always be people more powerful than you out there, and if you are #1 on your server, there will always be people gunning for you. Leaving something small, like 249 catapults (max cats that can be produced in a single barracks at one time). That's 2490 prestige. and I know a very small force of my cavs can get to them quick and take them out without casualties.

Hunting troops is essential to your army's survival. As is, if you are reliant on crop oasis, traveling to keep them well hidden, as if your troops starve, they come home, and are ripe for the taking.

Hope all this helped,

Skill points in attack and defense are 0.5% each, not 1%.
