sure.

I want to point out that there are a ton of people coming on here every week complaining about "Mean Experts, unfair mutings" and most of them are crap. What makes yours any different? Now, had you posted a screenshot with blurred out names, or sent it to support, or PM'd it to higher authority, then I would be less likely to say it's crap.

Re: Celebrate your experts!

You just had an expert that witnessed the mute in here saying it was legit. If you need more proof than that, then I can't help you bro.

I say good day to you.

What I'm pointing out is, at the time, how did I know that? How did I know you weren't just making your side of the argument the nice and fluffy side?

Why do you have to automatically comment on something that doesn't involve nor concern you and when doing so you automatically assume the OP is a liar?

Re: Celebrate your experts!

And what I'm pointing out is that people like you automatically jump to a pro-expert conclusion just because you've seen so many complaints. Maybe you will think twice before commenting like that on any other threads you see that question expert conduct.

You can ask anyone you want if you're in s1, but it's a legitimate concern about experts misusing their power. So all I'm saying is, before you jump the gun, give both sides equal thought. For the record, I do have screenshots of the previous mute I suffered (yes, suffered) but being as I'm a total fool when it comes to tech, I do not know how to blur names or post on these forums. I can and have posted them on pal to interested (at the time...) parties. Hence the report.

Re: Celebrate your experts!

Don't sweat it Foamcups. The same individual sits in WC doing the same thing when people complain of abuse.

You have to remember that there are some people who are genuinely good people and want to be an expert. There are also those that feel that the path to expert is by sucking up and making everyone else look bad to elevate their standing.

If ______ is who I think it is, and it almost undoubtedly is, the abuse from _____ is constant and frequent. I know a number of people who have contacted support and gotten what feels (whether it is or not is undoubtedly different, so this is a perception) like a form or cut/paste letter back but no real action. _______ is extremely comfortable referring people to support as a result knowing that he is seemingly invincible. I have some shocking screenshots of _____. PS: Did you look at the server 8 forums?

Call to action:
At the end of the day, I would REALLY like to ask Haypi to consider requiring ALL experts to be adults. It really is not a role for kids. I know they want to do it and will claim their maturity, but really a teenager lacks the life experience to build wisdom. Developmentally speaking, adolescent brain function is impulsive, controlled largely in portions of the brain that manage involuntary actions such as breathing. They haven't yet moved emotional control into the cerebral areas. Their actions as semi-paid customer service representatives of haypi very much affect peoples decision to continue to provide haypi with revenue. These are folks who aren't allowed to sign a legal document of any kind, open a bank account without their parents, and shouldn't be on the internet without parental supervision. Defensive behavior is built into *normal* behavior patterns at this age, but this is undesirable in an expert. They're going to have to take criticism sometimes. They are being placed into a position that is really setting them up to fail and frankly asking them to be adults before they ARE adults. Please add this requirement, and remove any current experts that do not meet this requirement.

I will now duck and cover as all the teenagers inform me how mature they are. :P

Re: Celebrate your experts!

If it sounds like I'm sitting here ragging^ on experts, then allow me to fully explain my position on this subject, in order to clarify what some are seeing. Here goes.

I have dealt with many experts. There are 2/12 experts in s1 currently that I do have respect for and will obey when warned. I think we all know that I can be quite the jerk, to put it mildly. However, very rarely do I violate rules according to haypi. I don't avoid, I don't bash (unless provoked or I have a beef with a person, you know who you are) but even my "bashing" is observant of the rules. For instance, it is not against the rules to critisize actions taken by an expertthat are deemed unworthy by a fellow expert. There are documented instances of this occuring, which I also have ss of.

Now, being as I am me, if I feel my rights as a paying customer of this game are being impinged upon, I will say something about it directly to those that are impingeing. If that's not a word, I apologize.

Case in point. Foamcups is happily jawing away in wc. Expert Z comes in. Wc begins discussing apple/Microsoft pros and cons. Foamcups says Microsoft is a joke. Expert Z tells foamcups that his life is a joke. Foamcups expresses his outrage that expert Z would bash in such a way when no offense to expert was meant or communicated. Expert Z tells foamcups that he felt the need to bash foamcups because foamcups bashed Microsoft.

Silly? Yes. Embarassing? Yes. Dealt with in any way when ss were delivered to ranking member of these very forums? Evidence suggests no as this incident was communicated 3 days ago.

So. To clarify, and shadetale will back me on this:

I do not respect the way certain experts conduct themselves. Everyone can look at me and say the same. However, I am not an expert. I have even gone so far as to attempt to revamp my behavior in light of these outrageous mutes. The point I am trying to drive home, he question I want answered is: why no support in the light of day? We all know there are some experts that don't deserve the title. So why all the beaurocratic hush-hush iron curtain lockdown on information? There are people that will openly tell you that writing to support does nothing, and I'm one of em.

All foam wants is recognition that a mistake or 4 has been made, and those mistakes to be rectified. It's always preached that haypi is an autonomous creation, beholden only to it's own laws inside of itself. If that's the case, why do you have to move mountains to get abuse recognized?

Discuss.

Re: Celebrate your experts!

I'll start off by first saying this has intrigued me, thus I'm posting.

Carcinogen: "Defensive behavior is built into *normal* behavior patterns at this age, but this is undesirable in an expert." --- You need to realize that every signle human is different. Everyone develops differently. You cannot stereotype teenagers, especially those on a game who you haven't even heard their voice or seen.

Foamcups: "For instance, it is not against the rules to critisize actions taken by an expertthat are deemed unworthy by a fellow expert. There are documented instances of this occuring, which I also have ss of." --- To "critisize" the actions of any expert, or even player for that matter, is against the rules unless done so in private. Rule 6 being the broken rule:

"6) In accordance with rule 4 and 5, any personal issue with members or staff is to be taken privately to an admin. Should you have an issue with an admin you, you are encouraged to speak privately to said admin to resolve said issue in a calm, mature manner"

Just adding to this convo, hope none of you take offense.

Re: Celebrate your experts!

Ok, then allow me to present this argument:

if it is indeed against the rules to tell an expert that what he/she did is wrong, what then is the next logical step if you do tell the expert that in private, and then when you're dusted off, report it to staff, and THEN get absolutely no response?

The issue at hand is when you exhaust all applicable avenues, why not go for broke and call someone out in public?

And no, you're not offending anyone, but quoting the rules when were discussing abuse of said rules isn't an argument. No, I mean absolutely no offense by that.
