Newish player, stat questions

I hate starting new games clueless and find out afterward that I should have done things different in the beginning. So after lurking the boards, I feel like I hosed myself with my stats:

1st Baron

Atk : 40
Def : 31
Spd : 0 (!!!!!!!)
For : 36

My question is this, should I reset my stats now? I saw someone talking about resetting later. As it is expensive (20 flipping coins each for stats and abilities!! why couldn't they make it 20 for everything! I actually know the answer to that) , I only want to do this once.

Now that I know a little about the mechanics, I have been concentrating on raising the marching tech, but I fear I am way behind the power curve with my zero speed stat. Any suggestions?

Re: Newish player, stat questions

If you have the coins I would reset and put all to speed til max.

Then this is where you decide on what army you want

defence for cav, attack or fortune for cats.

Seeing as I will have 107 pts to redistribute, should I dump 100 in speed and the remainder wherever, or spread it out a little more even? In other words, is speed so dominant of a stat that it should be maxed out before dropping any points into another?

Re: Newish player, stat questions

Yes, max speed is very important. First to move, faster moving, better hunts.

Don't try to balance your stats out. Go in full. So first get max speed, then use other points on 1 stat.

Well u can buy a horse n Manuel (lvl 2) that would increase speed 5pts I think so u could put like 15 into attack or somthing like that

All good players will say max speed out first.

First of all, you won't get 107 points back. attack, defense, and fortune, start with 20 points already in them. You'll get 47 points back.

The second point is this, no don't reset your stats now, don't listen to these guys. Yes, speed is the most important stat of them all, but you already knew that.

The stat that helps a lot while you are leveling is attack, now that you have invested into attack, I would just wait until you hit lvl 12-13 before reseting stats. This way you can farm forts with lower than usual numbers. And once you feel like you are starting to battle other players, only then reset stats to max speed.

Thanks, Khades, don't feel nearly as hopeless now! :)

So in following with the strategy you suggested, should I continue to boost the other stats as I level until I'm ready to PVP, or should I start boosting speed as of now?

Re: Newish player, stat questions

Well since you'll go with attack. Come attack me. I could use tons of prestige.
