Re: Intermediate help - skill points, attributes, armies, etc.

So, this is a very brief overview of what I've heard so far:
Cat / Inf armies are generally easier to maintain, use, and are maybe a bit more forgiving overall. Biggest weakness: speed.
Cav armies take more losses, upkeep is a bit more stringent, but they're essentially a better army for the very high level player (maybe by a small margin) due in part to their strength against cats. I can't think of any real weaknesses to cavs other than the fact that upkeep is possibly a bit tedious at times.
Speed is the main attribute for either army. Both units can hunt well, but cavs slightly better. Extra attribute points either in defense (cavs) or *your preference* for cats.
Skill points are essentially by preference, although hidden attack for cats and heal for cavs are probably the way to go.
Vital techs: defense for cavs and ranged for cats.
So, after considering these things, I think the best way for me to go about building an army is starting with cat/inf and possibly and probably changing to cavs later on when I reach a much higher level.
Again, I want to thank the people that posted all of this helpful information. I'll definitely be revisiting the thread as a reference.
