Re: Cetanic is Out

I agree that it is an upgraded Brawny. The reason why I compared it to a Scythe is because Scythe is the more widely-used monster and is considered to be the best currently-available Earth type monster - even better than Roco in most eyes'. I compared it to Scythe as if it is going to be replacing it in my team and is going to be the new staple Earth-type member of my team, it has to match with Scythe.

As I said, it is bulky but it's slow.
Really, I think the talents will decide how useful it will be. I might still use my Scythe more because Resurrect is such a useful talent. I will just wait for it and see how everyone finds it before I try and go for it. ^^

Re: Cetanic is Out

With fortitude-II and pod it can probably take out entire teams.

First turn it goes second, won't take much if any damage because of opp using pod/weather or because of fort-II and overall high def.
Second turn it may either go first or second but again it won't take much damage and it will most likely be able to one hit ko it's opp.
When new monsters come in it will go first because of pod and one hit them too.
Pod, boulder, massive boulder, and iaijutsu seems like a great build to me.

LiMoney is right. There seems to be 2 legendary monsters that are available from 2 ways, one is the egg and the other is a scroll from achieving a hard feat in the game.
Minotaur will more likely be the one that comes from the eggs as Setanic is already available through the other means.

@superfly:
I honestly thought about that as well. I thought that the stats were disappointing. However, if you put it side by side - with a Scythe, it is pretty monstrous. The only let down is the speed. Its great bulk should be able to cover for it, though.
I'm just disappointed with the talents. If this really is the list, I don't think I will use it more than my Scythe.

They can always add a legendary when the new egg comes out.
Prior to Cerbersus there was only pheonix and lava.

Also, you don't encounter any orange egg legendaries on any maps. Following that trend, Mintoar is very Pheonix-ish.

Regarding Setanic. It's not only the speed. There is no res talent.
Sometimes my scythe will wipe out an entire team on 1 hp rez.

Re: Cetanic is Out

Yes, that's why I didn't like it at first glance as well. I didn't like the talents.

However, its bulk suggests that it can take a couple of hits and, as someone already suggested, couple this with Fortitude 2 and it is unlikely you will be able to be 1hKO by any monster.
I still like Resurrect more, though! If this comes out being just a better Brawny - having the same uses, I will just keep using my Scythe.

I doubt Minotaur will come from eggs. It's more of Phoenix status.

Minotaur is definitely an egg legendary which will come after Chimera

Re: Cetanic is Out

Hmmm... maybe not worth rushing to finish Exp modes then. Sucks because I was hoping for a new orange monster to replace my Scythe.
