I sold a lot of catalyst aswell. Good thing I keep 5 sm.
I didn't keep enough thunder bottles to make a 2nd griff though

For some reason I get thunder bolts like crazy, in vet or expert canyon. The scrap metals i havent got any since 1.3, and sold all the previous ones.

Usually, I have extra catalysts stored in random monsters of the same type as the monster that the catalyst is for. I'm pretty happy I had 3 extra Bottles Thunderbolts for this - as well as the bolt beads.

But yes, try and do the veteran modes instead of expert modes. I have seen far more catalysts in veteran modes than in expert ones.

When I was farming for Thunderstorm, all I could get was Bottled Thunderbolts - good thing I didn't sell them all!
