Its in the terms of use that it is prohibited, and a permanent ban is something that you risk when exploiting.

That said, maybe send support a message directly and plead your case. Be respectful and non-confrontational and delete this topic since the terms say 'Any frustrations you have regarding the game, staff, or other players should be dealt with privately, not publicly.' Since you are trying to get them to un-ban you they are more likely to do if you aren't breaking other rules and being respectful.

to answer your questions:

1. sometimes game makers have build in glitches as an reward for someone to find. i didnt know if these are intentional or not. but that's beside the point. i didnt hack into their game. the glitches are by haypi.
2. i dont think i was being confrontational or disrespectful. i was stating the facts from my side. if everything is dealt privately, then why have a forum? the term of use still have to follow the laws. if it's illegal in the 1st place, the term of use is invalid and voided under the law
Are you fricking retarded? How stupid can you be?! "Building in glitches for players to find"?!?! If they put it there with any hidden meaning, you'd receive a special message saying so. You agree to not exploit any bugs, glitches and mistakes made by the developers, and what do you do? You exploit a major bug! You then complain about being reprimanded for doing so!

And here's a better analogy for the situation: if you find that an ATM is giving out larger amounts of money than usual, do you take the extra money? NO WAY IN HELL DO YOU TOUCH IT! You get charged with theft for taking extra money from an ATM machine. Just because there was a bug in it from the technicians that assembled it doesn't mean you can abuse it at their expense.

You should've had your account banned for over a week, at least.

I mean really no need to ban people over this kinda of bug.

They should just discover it and fix it in quiet, that's all.

It doesn't bother me, I mean, what could a few extra expert attempts hurt the entire community,

When it comes to complains about bugs that keep annoying us nothing Happens. They wont fix it in months. But money loss bugs being fixed in a Instant.
Fairnes should come from BOTH SIDES

Read up, guys, it said he only got a 3 day suspension at MAX. IMO he got off really easy. If he didnt get suspended at all, you guys would be complaining that Haypi doesnt do anything to stop cheaters.

Re: suspension of accts

Wasn't there a saying that the customer is always right? Though I am not condoning the act but rather.. this would not have occurred if:

1. The upgrade has been thoroughly tested before release after implementation, no bugs no room for exploitation

2. It wasn't really that hard to encounter advance book chests in previous upgrades and re-spinning and landing on the same spot over and over doesn't occur.. I mean players sometimes spent 300GC just to get a book, that's almost 20% of the 1600GC you get from 100$ package

- IMHO, if everybody know of the glitch.. Many would've tried it.. And the actions might be different, either reversal of accounts before the glitch has been encountered or something less..

Also, after reading the EULA, true enough it was stated in there but it only specified exploitation on commercial purposes:

A. exploit the game or any of its parts, including the Service, for any commercial purpose. This includes but is not limited to (a) gathering in-game currency, items or resources for sale outside the game; or (b) performing in-game services in exchange for payment outside the game;

How would they determine if it was for commercial purposes?

Also, is this a form of cheating given that it was their mistake?

B. use cheats, bots, hacks, mods or any other unauthorized third-party software, databases or scripts designed to modify the game;

The actions may have been frowned upon w/in the community but HM should give better consideration and value on their customers..

Lastly, there were some people who've participated in the Level Rush Exploit whose accounts weren't suspended.. I mean what are the criteria for account suspension?

I think free-playing customers and paying customers would want to have fairness in addressing their concerns.. Getting suspended on others mistakes is harsh.. But then again, it's their call.. whether people agree or not.. Whether you were able to read it or not..

Re: suspension of accts

If what Ailza said is true, then I think Haypi reacted appropriately. 3 days ban is fine for those that used the attempts several times. Myself included.

They should remove the news then about permanent banning of accounts.

What I find weird is the inconsistency of punishments. For previous bugs, no actions were taken against players who benefitted from these glitches. I don't think it was correct for Haypi to leave these players untouched or no actions to reverse the unfair advantage. However, because there is a precedence, their actions right now seem harsh and unfair.

Two reasons for their immediate and severe action from their perspective:
1) The effect of the level rush bug is too much. As, advanced skill books, exp, gems, and money were all rewards of doing the attempts several times. Lots of advantages for those who discovered the bug. So, the quick action on their part is good IMHO. I'm more embarrassed that I didn't report the glitch as I should have.

However, I agree with what Swift said, the frustration from the respins and drop rate of advanced book chests contributed a lot to my behavior. And I was under the assumption that they'll fix it immediately anyway so I exploited it for several hours.

2) I think it was fairly easy to detect who took advantage of the bug compared to say, PVP championships dual account use. Therefore, it was easy for them to track down the players involved.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While I think those two are the biggest reasons for their quick action, I also get the feeling they have a different priority on addressing player concerns. When it comes to them losing a lot of money, they do enact on it very quickly. That's perfectly understandable but, I wish they'd do the same for our concerns.
That said, the update is a testament that they listen to the player's feedback and suggestions.
I think the news was just misleading and I think the decision on banning accounts for AT MOST 3 days is fairly reasonable.
Re: suspension of accts
Actually applicable entry in the User Agreement under the Game Play section states:
A. Using, exploiting, or intentionally concealing errors in design, features which have not been documented, and/or "program bugs" to gain access to features that are otherwise not available, or to obtain an unfair advantage over other players. If you find a bug in the game you must report it to Haypi Kingdom Support as soon as possible.
B. Anything that Haypi Support considers to be contrary to the "essence" of the game.
And in the Forum/Game Rules it says:
Bug Abuse
Exploiting in-game bugs is prohibited. In-game bugs should be reported to Haypi Support immediately.
Both can be found in the Terms of Use section in the top level of the forum (before each individual game forum).
At the end of the day, exploiting a bug is cheating, and cheating is wrong. User agreements exist to provide a 'code of law' to internally govern a product or service, this is all boiler plate stuff. If you can get away with cheating, bully for you, but if you get caught expect repercussions, they all say up to but not limited to permanent suspension of service in whatever wording they choose and tend to be vague enough to provide flexibility when handing out punishments.
Games like Diablo III or World of Warcraft often hand out permanent bans for cheating. A temporary ban isnt so bad.
