suspension of accts

got my acct suspended this morning for suppposedly using a lvl up glitch. what i did was i kept on playing the same level over & over again where haypi didnt log how many times i played with the new update. in their rush to push out new updates to generate more money for themselves, the new updates are full of glitches. to blame the players on your mistakes, u have lost any goodwill of your customers and probably broken local consumer laws. thats the same as if i go in a restaurant and order a turkey sandwich and i received turkey sandwich with lettuce and tomatoe. do u think it's lawful or ethical to demand your customers to pay extra money for the toppings, or u will suspend their privilage to patronlize your restaurant again. well, u got me spending another $108.87 on the new features. please either refund my money or restore my acct immediately

Re: suspension of accts

In my opinion, I think given the situation in general a permanent ban is a bit harsh.

I think what would be fair is revert their account to back to what is was pre 1.3. And give them a 1 week suspension is more reasonable.

Re: suspension of accts

im with you on this one wackydave. and I agree with superfly.

permanent suspension may be a bit harsh. first of all the glitch was from haypi's side. if people were able to exploit the system through hacking or other malicious means then I think permanent suspension would be a fitting punishment. in this case it was haypi's fault that they were not able to check for all bugs before releasing the update. although it is unfair to other players who were not able to find out about the bug, it's not the fault of the players who found out about it if the game was broken in the first place.

reset their accounts prior to v 1.3

Re: suspension of accts

If you knew you were exploiting a glitch, why did you keep doing it?

Its in the terms of use that it is prohibited, and a permanent ban is something that you risk when exploiting.

That said, maybe send support a message directly and plead your case. Be respectful and non-confrontational and delete this topic since the terms say 'Any frustrations you have regarding the game, staff, or other players should be dealt with privately, not publicly.' Since you are trying to get them to un-ban you they are more likely to do if you aren't breaking other rules and being respectful.

Re: suspension of accts

Hi wackydave,

None of the players that exploited Level Rush have received suspensions that last longer than 72 hours. Any items you and any other players received from spending coins respinning during the exploits have been left untouched.

The issue of bug exploits is listed in the User Agreement (see the Terms of Use section on the forums) .

Re: suspension of accts

I guess it depends on how much you took advantage of the glitch. If you sat up all night rushing expert levels 100 times then a temporary suspension is warranted as we all know you only get 7-10 vet/expert modes a day. If you exploited it once or twice and then reported the glitch then a permanent suspension is harsh

to answer your questions:

1. sometimes game makers have build in glitches as an reward for someone to find. i didnt know if these are intentional or not. but that's beside the point. i didnt hack into their game. the glitches are by haypi.
2. i dont think i was being confrontational or disrespectful. i was stating the facts from my side. if everything is dealt privately, then why have a forum? the term of use still have to follow the laws. if it's illegal in the 1st place, the term of use is invalid and voided under the law

Re: suspension of accts

What on earth did you do to let them ban you

Just curious...how many extra turns did you do?

I'm imaging it had to be hundreds and hundreds ...for them to really punish you like that
