Unbending

Hi guys,
I was wondering if unbending prevents confusion?
Also, why is using super fire bomb still decreases its atk?
Unbending is supposed to prevent decrease in monster stats right?

You will still get confused.
Unbending only affects effects from other monsters.
Otherwise you couldn't use PoD
