PoD's Monster Collection & Explaination

@Suicide91: PoD is Power of Darkness, it is a supplementary skill that raises all the monster's stats (attack, defence, magical attack, magical defence and speed). It is regarded as the best move in the game (as quoted from a Haypi staff member).

@Nochotwo: With regards to Neon, PoD would go better with Adaptability to amplify your attack power further. With PoD, your speed will not be beaten most of the time. Also, Accelerator activates at the end of the turn and, as I just mentioned, you won't be beaten in speed most likely anyway, after PoD.

@superfly: Look at their stats, whichever has the better of the stats should get PoD, i.e. if you have access to a higher rank than a D Vertedeath, you should definitely give it to him. Otherwise, an S Flight will make better use of PoD, than a D Vertedeath. Make your stronger monster even stronger with PoD!

I have both a PoD-ed Flight and Vertedeath (both S) and I can say that an S Vertedeath makes better use of PoD, but it is by no means substantially larger. Before I got Vertedeath, my Flight was my main monster but after, Vertedeath superseded it. However, I still use Flight in my team as it's by no means always overshadowed by Vertedeath.

My mains were S flights without pod becuase I'm so unlucky (tonnes of swindle, memory wipes)

Now I finally got a S verta. Seems to die faster than flight in pvp. Dont know if its becuase MF3 or because only lvl 44

Unless my opponent is a Felicity, the survivability of my Vertedeath is higher than my Flight's. I opted to go for Hypnosis Jinx as my talents as I find it more useful (though less reliable). Probably the reason you're losing more is because Magic Force 3 reduces your magical defence at the start and your opponents might be using magical type skills. This is one of the reasons why I didn't choose Magic Force 3. One of Vertedeath's main weapons is his monstrous defences. I don't want to cut this down as I want PoD to give the most benefits it can give.
Penetrate is excellent as well if you don't like the unreliability of Hypnosis Jinx.
You can change your current talent to any of these two if you want.

I recommend putting your PoD on Vertedeath. Trust me, after PoD, Vertedeath is such a force to be reckoned with.

Also how does penetrate + cunning work against unbending?

Does penetrate bypass unbending when casting cunning?
Does penetrate also ignore pod increases?

Check the stats of your Flight and Vertedeath. Your Vertedeath should have a higher HP and defence. I don't know how your Vertedeath is dying faster than your Flight against physical moves. That shouldn't be! Experiment using PvP. Fight against the same monster and have it attack both using the same moves. If the problem still persists, contact support. Otherwise, it might have been in other circumstances that your Vertedeath is dying faster (i.e. you might have missed your opponent casting a stat increase skill).

Penetrate will allow your Cunning to work against Unbending. I am pretty sure of this but I can't test for you at the moment as I'm the only one using an Unbending Flight in my server or a Penetrate Vertedeath. Penetrate bypasses talents so it should work - I seem to remember coming across this as well but I'm a bit cloudy.
It works on PoD (by passes magical defence increase). I think that talent was overlooked before but now that PoD is prevalent, everyone is seeing its use.

Have another Vertedeath with PoD, but they're all the same.

Everyone traded tech2 for unbending on my server. Makes my ignightmare powerless.

I think it only cuts through talents. But if it also cut through pod this would be awesome
