Power of Darkness for Neon?

Hello guys I am currently training my Neon, with Thunderstorm as its primary attack (since I have no monsters using Rain Prayer in my team I decided against using STS).

How do you think POD will benefit Neon, or is Neon not as "suitable" for POD as Flight / Vertedeath? It has Adaptability as its talent + Equipped with Winged Boots.

If anyone has any good builds in mind please suggest, much appreciated! :D

A couple of people on my server, including me, have pod adapt neons. They are pretty awesome but they would do much better than in the rain. I would say get a water monster first

Re: Power of Darkness for Neon?

Hmmm.. you're monster names are really cool.. Yes, i think PoD is good for Neon, well PoD is good to almost all monsters..

Strategy: I'll be picky
Talent: Stuck
Item: Winged Boots / Sharp Claw / Waistband
Skill: Windblast, Thunderstorm, Chill / Mind-Bending / Cunning (choose 2)

Optional: PoD (If you'd go w/ PoD, choose 1 among the 3 magical skills above)

Notes:

1. Build offers versatility on skills to be used and allows you which opponents you should be facing w/ Windblast
2. Build is specific for PvP
3. Should do fair in PvP, given Neon's stats are really good
________________________________________________________________

Strategy: Maximum Damage
Talent: Adaptability
Item: Winged Boots / Sharp Claw
Skills: PoD, Thunderstorm, Super Thunderstorm, Mind-Bending / Cunning / Chill

Optional:
- Fog (prevents stat changes once casted, if PoD is casted before it will not be disrupted)
- Windblast (what better way than being able to choose the monster you can deal the most damage at??)

Notes:

1. As the name suggest, this strategy aims to deal the most damage you can in a turn
2. Benefits from Rain Prayer a lot
_______________________________________________________________

Strategy: Consistency
Talent: Invalidate
Item: Winged Boots
Skills: Thunderstorm, Super Thunderstorm, Mind-bending, Windblast

Optional: Switch Hit (mainly to avoid Rock monsters as it will definitely OHKO this build w/ Massive Boulder and leave you at critical HP w/ Boulder)

Notes:

1. Build is mainly used against PoD-users, stat-boosters and de-buffers
2. Not sure if this works against Intimidate, Unnerve, Force, Magic Force
3. Requires Rain Prayer for optimum results
4. Can go well against:
- Felicity (due to low DEF)
- Vertedeath (since it relies on PoD for maximum results)
- Flight (good Flight's come w/ PoD)
- Rhor (due to low DEF / MDEF)
5. Weak against Rock monsters and Sandstorm casters
_______________________________________________________________

Strategy: Flashforward
Talent: Accelerator
Item: Sharp Claw
Skills: Foresight, Thunderstorm / Super Thunderstorm, Windblast, Cunning / Chill / Mind-Bending

Optional: PoD (might already be too much given that you already have Accelerator for SPD increase)

Notes:

1. Goal of the build is to be able to attack first the next turn
2. Would do better with Rain Prayer
3. Weak against Rock monsters and Sandstorm Casters
________________________________________________________________

Strategy: Untainted
Talent: Rain Cleanse
Item: Sharp Claw
Skill: PoD, Super Thunderstorm, Psychic Thrust, Thunderstorm / Windblast

Optional: Aurora Borealis (only if stat reduction can be removed by Rain Cleanse)

Notes:

1. Relies heavily on Rain Prayer
2. Maximizes available 120power moves
3. Not sure if this would remove Aurora Borealis stat debuff

Hehe I'm not going for STS precisely due to the lack of a water monster, but chances are I will stick to my Rhor in the event that I have a, say, Pewgway with Rain Prayer. In any case, I am pretty sure that Neon (as with other electric types) would benefit loads from being in the rain. :D

Wow that's a lot of possible builds there SwiftDeath, thanks for the recommendations :D I'm most likely going to follow the build for maximum damage, might take out STS in favour of Wind Blast (especially in the event that I don't have a rain summoner ).

Anyway thanks for the compliment! I just try to give my monsters nicknames that are in some way related to their creature type/element/moveset. ;)
