A good way to get money is to save up your daily gift,get a fort,or sell resources. You can also get money by asking your alliance members if they will help you. Haypi Kingdom is an awesome game and you need strategyies 2 lvl. faster

2. Not collecting you daily gift, or as you say saving, does not change the outcome of you daily gift the next day or even if you save it for a week.

Hunting will also get you a lot of money (if you have a decent army), and never forget SELL SILVER/GOLD CHESTS, the probability that you will get somthing good out of them is small, so don't waste your coins on them.

Meh Guide's Not Too Great. To Make Money I'd Suggest Hunting (Most Obvious), Selling All Chests And Boxes, Farm Inactives For Crop, And Merchant Items (Buy Min., Sell High).
