Cav/arch from inf/Cat transitioning

Hey all I just wanted to get a little advice on this subject...

I plan on transitioning over to Cav/Arch army fairly soon and am currently running inf/Cat army.

What is the best way to transition from inf/Cat to Cav/Arch??

Re: Cav/arch from inf/Cat transitioning

I built up my cav first, until I had around 15,000 cavs, I then went around farming inactive and building max cav and max archers in every city I owned, repeat at least twice a day :) gets you a nice cav amount and a archer army that can fend for itself too :D

Totally agree, I would say hold on to some of you cats though, incase there aren’t many farms around you, you can then use them for forts just until you have a strong cav/arch army.

true if there arent many ininactives around you, farming lvl 1-3 forts with just cav incurs practically no losses

Re: Cav/arch from inf/Cat transitioning

hm... forts with archer = no losses but well.....

I'd built like 1/2 of cav first the 1/2 of arch
Now you got half of your army, you can look if you can easy manage it and so on.
Now Id go forward in 10% steps, so ou can stop if its gettin to much for you,

The numbers of archers must be quite high tho, so using the cats which he already has to farm forts while building enough archers to take no losses.

Re: Cav/arch from inf/Cat transitioning

Currently im level 12 and have 9 shooting 10 marching 9 attack and 6 defense...This isnt something im just gonna do right now just trying to prepare myself for the transition...
So here is my question about crops as well...
What is a good number of cav/arch to have before I start destroying my cats and inf?
And in making this transition, is it going to be difficult to maintain crops....

Re: Cav/arch from inf/Cat transitioning

in the transition maintating crop is going to be harder obviiously but you just have to kill equal amounts of to cover your losses. i reccomend around 15k cavs before you start killing off cats.
