Haypi: Land of Fun
Haypi Kingdom is an MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role playing game) set in medieval times. In Haypi, players can trade resources, attack other players, form alliances and much more. It offers an open chat room and the ability to private message. Haypi captures the very essence of a MMORPG by maximizing player interactions. It does this by giving each player an actual location on a map, allowing for alliances among players, allowing for trades between players, and offering a clean chat room.
Often in MMORPG’s, players can interact with other players but they are simply names on a list. In Haypi, each player is given a city on a map and can see the other cities around his or hers. When a player attacks, they don’t simply click on a name and then see the results. They can see where geographically they are sending their troops and can command the battle. This makes Haypi more realistic and more fun. Also, alliances can create communities of cities in an area. For example, my alliance Darkfire has a group of about 15 cities owned by different members of the alliance all grouped together in one place. This is fun because not only are the members of the alliance connected because of their common membership, but are also geographically close.
Alliances in Haypi are more helpful and their players are more connected than in any other MMORPG I’ve played. The alliance chat and alliance letters make this possible. For example, I was recently attacked by a player so I sent a letter to my alliance leader. He then sent out a letter to all members saying that they could attack that player. Since this only happened yesterday, nobody has yet attacked, but I feel assured that if someone has the opportunity to, they will. Also, the leader will often send out alliance letters saying that a certain player needs a certain resource or treasure. Every time somebody responds ready to lend a hand. Alliances are more than just lists of people in Haypi; they are communities.
Also, Haypi offers a market in which players buy and sell with other players. This makes the market immensely dynamic and interesting versus a game in which everything has a set buying and selling price. For example, the other day I bought 5000 iron at .3 each. The next day the market for iron rose drastically and I sold the iron for .55 each. Some games have simulated markets in which the prices go up and down unpredictably, but they cannot compare with the amazing realism of Haypi’s market.
Finally, Haypi offers three great chat rooms: world chat, alliance chat, and private chat. The world chat is extremely clean because it is almost constantly moderated. Unlike some chat rooms which only have a filter which can be easily avoided, Haypi has people making sure the players are following the rules Every time I have been on the chat room and somebody has been breaking the rules, it has not been long until an Expert, Support, or Admin has warned them or kicked them out. This is makes the chat room so much more enjoyable. The alliance chat is useful for announcing something to your whole alliance. It is a great way to communicate with the other members and stay up to date on what I going on in your alliance. Finally, the private chat is extremely useful for chatting with a single player.
Haypi is an amazing game that offers so much. You can play for only a few minutes a day or sit and chat for hours. Either way, Haypi is the best.
