When you are not using troops, send them out to hunt. You become wanted when people see your prestige out.

battle guide

Ok i wanted to give all my members my knowledge that ive gained in battle, to help everyone out:)

Attacking - when attacking another player you have total control. The first thing you do is hold all troops. You want to see if they are commanding, this also gives you a chance to look at field length. 1350= lvl 10 turrets, 1300= lvl 9, 1260= lvl 8 or lower, if turrets are lvl 9 or 10 u need to shield cats w calv or inf. anything less means lower shooting. When attacking cats, you can defeat with cats by pushing up cats ( and a blocking unit if theres turrets ) rnd 4. This means u command them foward during rnd 3. ( make sure your cats target their cats ) if they have all four units, one would be remaining.

The reason you should always bring calvary is.... If they have max speed, you need calvary to take no losses, sending them foward the same round as cats. Recognizing max speed can be very tricky!! I have actually marked my iphone case to do so. As you all should know techs are very important, with techs evenly matched, defense has advantage. So if evenly matched u should withdraw, and should never lose prestige when attacking. The idea is to battle an uncontrolled army for the most part. 

Cats vs calv - they both have advantages, i have found the other two units completely pointless!!! (except for blockers) Calv are a lifeline for farming and taking oasis, they save you a ton of time. I like to also use them for long attacks on oasis , which units are frequently left in. You seem to get a better hidden chance from just calvs as well. 

Cats are your prestige makers. The idea is to kill all their units and lose as least as possible. No losses attacking with calvs happens, but it takes the right circumstances, and is not always possible.

When it comes to numbers, this means the most, but cats in my opinion trump all. With proper blocking cats can win vs. 4 times their number in calv, more if defending with turrets. This is assuming both players are controlling, if not in control the battle is all up to the person who is.

When defending verse an equally matched opponent, hold all units except cats, move them forward one round, and then hold. There is no way you can lose unless your speed sucks, or opponents tech is better. Your defences are also a big advantage. Always remember attacker can always resign, this makes it impossible for you to lose prestige if u always hunt immediately, and keep your troops fed. I know most of you know your stuff, but hopefully ive helped someone :) tell me if this letter is missing anything or u have any questions

Note on pvp

1. Fight thru the lag 
First day u will experience bad lags. But keep at it. Log in again n again to get the upgrades going. A Head start means everything. 

2. Upgrades. 
Select VIP. 
Speed up main building n warehouse. Till they reach lvl 10 or 11. Then let it take the time to finish. You should b left with 100-150 coins once u r ready to go out of protection. Use these to drop attack on big hits later in the rd. 
Max cranny. Try to get the crop lvl up high asap

3. Protection. 
Get out of it asap. N start the second city. When u r out, u should have at least cranny maxed n crop level 11-12.  N 3-400 cat army. Keep resources below cranny level to discourage farming. 

4. Crop n other oasis
I don't keep any crop oasis if I'm just going for 300 coins. In that case, size of army I've kept was less than 2k cats. Enhance on the second day. Get resource oasis. If u keep crop oasis, u r asking to b an easy target for starving. U will b cropped. Know ur crop count. Expect the worst. So calculate how long it would take for ur troops to starve without any crop oasis n getting hit by someone with max break cranny. Come back before that time. 

5. Techs
Max: scouting shooting marching. 
High: attack n planting. Maybe defense if r cash rich. No turrets. Too expensive. Traps level 4-5 is enough. No resource techs should b upgraded. 

6. Cities
Make as much as u r allowed. Name the city the same. Pinners get confused if all ur cities names r same. Should have at least three cities with med to high crop production. Spread ur troops among the cities before going to sleep.

7. Cash n equipment 
Wait till second or third day for equipment. Do not do trades with equipments to get cash. 

On the second day, the price of wood or stone go up crazy. Put the resource at the high price. I put batches worth 300k. For example, I put 1600 wood for 184.01. Total 300k golds. Have ppl or ur alt buy the batches giving u the cash for tech upgrades. Buy equipments with the cash n save coins for flying. 

8. Battles
Come out of protection asap. Should start killing right away. I would stay put n kill everyone near u before flying.
Learn the block move. 
Crop ppl later in the first week. Scout constantly. 

Cropping: check ppl with many crop oasis. If the city has negative crop count even before cropping that's the ideal target. If positive, I would wait a couple more days till he builds more troops. Crop at night. 

During the first week crop right away since most ppl have low cranny n low crop count. But from the second week farm first n drop the crop count first then crop. When u crop someone, the crop count drops as u take crop oasis down. So starving is much faster. 

9. Attribute points 
Speed only till u reach 100 then attack. 
Skill points. Max break cranny then heal/hidden. If u have coins to spare. I would do hidden for the first week then reset it to break cranny. For u will b flying much later in the game then hidden is not as critical. Later in the game, u will try to starve ppl so max cranny comes in handy 

10. Even after u wipe someone, b nice n gracious. They might end up helping u in the end. Many have for me. Lol 

You need to bring all accts u have to the game. Ask ur friend to help u before it start. Have a game plan. With the above plan, getting 100 coins will b easy n 300 coins r not out of reach. 

With some money spent, u could reach top 10.  Not giving up n pushing thru counts a lot too. 

To build max infantry you need
Wood=300K
Stone=250K
Iron=max
Crop=100K
People=2496

To build max cav you need...
Wood=270k
Stone=330k
Iron=max
Crop=120k
People=2396

To build max archers you need
Wood=440k
Stone=350k
Iron=max
Crop=120k
People=2808

To build max cats you need
Wood=max
Stone=200k
Iron=250k
Crop=64k
People=2490
