Re-discover the golden age - haypi prologue submission

Many thousands of years ago, the Haypi continent was a wondrous spectacle. Its civilzation was extremely technologically advanced. Anti-gravity devices held cities floating in mid-air. Teleportation and faster-than-light travel were commonplace. There were even rumors of some immortality and time traveling. Indeed, the people here could control the very energy that create universes!! But, alas, their scientific expertise did not extend into the realm of wisdom. The alliance of cities, never stable to begin with, finally erupted into a major civil war. As each city unleashed their supernova-like energy weapons against each other, the entire sections of the continent, including its concomitant cities, was disintegrated back into its constituent atoms. There was only one scientist who took action to preserve the knowledge of their civilization. He preserved all the information in 8 separate relics and dispersed them throughout the erstwhile continent. During the civil war, these relics fell through the gaping cracks in the continent and fell to the ocean floor.

The relics are still there - waiting for the next brave explorer- to discover its wondrous secrets. Who will revive this Golden Age of civilization again? Are you ready?
