Rusllik's prologue
The Kingdom of Parce is ruled by a cruel and baneful tyrant. He thirsts for blood and has no mercy on any of his subjects, and does whatever he pleases with them. He sends them to their doom by giving them orders that are impossible to accomplish. He enjoys watching them suffer. He laughs at their misery. He waits to punish. He waits to kill.
The citizens of the Kingdom of Parce understand they must obtain freedom. They know they must rid of this tyrant. But, they are afraid, for they know the consequences of rising up against him. They know the harsh penalty, the torture they would go through if he gets a hold of them. Their hope has almost faded.
Yet, there is still hope! There is a way! A simple, forthright merchant arrives at the Parce Port. The merchant heard of the difficulties in the Kingdom. The merchant knows of a way to defeat the oppressor. The merchant is willing to sacrifice everything to help the people destroy the injustice that engulfs them! The merchant is you!
Years ago, as you were travelling around the world with your fleet of ships, you read an ancient script about eight sets of priceless relics scattered about the seabed. By collecting these relics, you will find a key that opens the door to the future. Knowing the tyrants love of sending his subjects on unachievable tasks, and his lust for power, you approach him with your request to find the eight relics in turn for the peoples freedom. He agrees, content at the entertainment he shall receive when you return, confident you will not succeed.
Now the fate of the Kingdom of Parce lies in your hands. The peoples lives depend on you. Failure is not an option. Go and find the missing relics! Find the key to the future! For with it, you will be able to discover the weakness of the tyrant, foreshadow his demise, and avoid any traps he may have planned for you.
