From beginner to experienced player

Haypi Kingdom is about building an army to fight computerized armies in oasis/forts or to fight other players online. Try it out as you might love it. But be warned: As Rome was not built in one day, it will take you time and dedicacy.

When you first enter the game, go to task menu, it will guide you through the basics. Complete a task then click on collect reward to get some resources or prestige from that task and to get access to the next task.

First strategy to follow is to upgrade each 4 slots of the buildings producing resources to level 6 or 7. As each upgrade requires more resources and people to start, you will also need to upgrade main building (people - aim for 35 to 50 people per hour) and warehouse (storage of resources - aim for 50k to 100k capacity).

Some higher level players are always scouting (searching) the map to find low level or inactive players to farm them (steal their resources). You can avoid this by keeping your granny capacity always a bit higher than your warehouse capacity, so players scouting you won't see how many resources you have so they won't attack you to steal them. Also upgrade your granny at least to level 3 or 4 so you will also be protected from players who have developped the special skill "break cranny" when levelling up.

You cn upgrade 2 slots at a time when playing (VIP status obtained with coins can upgrade 3). 2 slots are for resources slots or main building, granny, warehouse. 2 slots are for building defense devices in your city walls. 2 slots are for researching technology in the tech center.

While you are less than level 5 don't waste resources on building city walls (traps or turrets) because you cannot lose your main city, which is the city in which you started. Only from level 4, you can build a sub city. If this sub city loyalty drops from 100 to 0 (1 fight lost makes your city loyalty drop by 10, each 1 hour you regain 10 loyalty, and a same player cannot attack another player more than 5 times a day). Only consider city walls to protect
sub cities.

Once you are at level 5-7 in each slots of your buildings producing resources (stones, crop, iron and lumber) you will want to keep producing more resources, but also to start building an army. You can get more resources by:
- Continuing upgrading your producing slots
- Upgrading your technology in the tech center to produce more resources per level
- Using an army to farm inactive players around you and steal their resources

You can still upgrade your 2 production slots at a time, so you should always have main building, granny, resource buildings or warehouse upgrading.
You can click on your resources at the top of your screen to see if you are missing a resource compared to the others or if you are producing in total less of a resource per hour, and you can upgrade the corresponding technology to raise that output by a few percent. Until level 9, don't upgrade technology at more than level 3-4 because it can become expensive quickly and you will need your money for other purposes.

Third way to get more resources is to build an army and farm inactive
players around you. Build 32 cav (cavalry) and/or 40 inf (infantry). You can then look at the map and scout the level 0 players in the square around you. The scouting report in the letter menu should show you that they have 800 resources of each. An attack of 32 cav and 40 inf on those players will enable you to take back all 800 resources in one attack. You should be able to attack them once every day, time for them to rebuild their resources (and keep them warm for you to take).

Because you have 2 attacking slots available (or 3 with VIP status), you can attack 2 different players at the same time with 64 cav, 80 inf, or 40inf/32cav. Cav will reach their destination faster (at about half the time to destination, but inf will cost less resources and people to build). Because there are 20 seconds added for the fight itself, to the time to reach the destination, I personnally find it equivalent to use 40 inf on near inactive players or 32 cav on players further away in your square.

Because you have now started building an army, beware of other players. Like they were eyeing at you for resources, they might now attack you for gaining prestige (needed for levelling up) by destroying your army. Easiest way to protect your army is to send it on hunt when you are offline. When you are online and you are attacked, go to action to see the forces of your opponents, and if he is likely to win, then also go to the map, choose an oasis and send your troops on hunt on it.

Alternatively, you can also protect your army by building city walls. When you are low levels build only traps. Turrets might be destroyed by cats (catapults) from long ranges unless they are upgraded at level 5 (it is expensive and probably out of your budget at the moment) or more in the
tech center. Traps are disabled by getting filled with dying bodies from your opponent army. So you might lose them in battle but not without losses for your opponent. Don't hesitate to invest in trap technology if your cities are attacked as opponents will take more losses from traps of higher levels. You might then even be able to leave few troops out in your city to lure your opponents into coming only to break his nose on your traps, making you instead of him gain prestige.

Then you might also want to invest in cats (catapults) or arch (archers). Cats are slower and cost more in resources. But because they have longer range, they are more efficient in battle. Archers have same speed than inf and a slightly less range than cats, so they are efficient in the first turns of a fight against inf and cav (they can also support cats for a lower cost than cats) but they are vulnerable against cats and at close range against inf and cav.

Cats will enable you for example to take oasis/forts. You can take oasis of different levels. Oasis of higher levels will give you more output per hours but will be defended by more troops. Always command your troops in fights (Go to action then command). Good strategy at first is to wait your troops (click on the troop then click on wait then send) until you are used to fighting and to the speed and range of each units (modified by tech, players skills or attributes) and by the length of the field, which can be seen on the screen where you command troops). You can take with no losses oasis of level 4 with 26 cats for an output per hour of 550/hr. When you hold an oasis for more than 24h, it will lose 1 level, until level 0. After you take an oasis, don't forget to go to city then oasis and to callback your troops, so they don't stay there at the mercy of scouting players. You can take a fort level 1 with 255 cats for no losses and 1000 inf to bring back its 50k of resources. The fort will regenerate its armies and resources in 23 to 26hour. If you rather want to earn 20$ per hour then you should attack it 3 times to drop its loyalty to 0 and occupy it. A fort never loses level.

When attacking troops from oasis or forts you will always attack first similar troops. But because the troop with higher speed moves and attack first, in a fight against a player, who moves and attacks first will depend on the players respective shooting and marching tech and on their speed skills and attributes. Also beware that if you attack a troop and don't kill it all, it can counter attack if it moves and comes in range. Sometime an army of 1 cav or 1 arch can be used as meatshield in a fight, as a barrier to prevent opposing troops from coming in range.

Technology or levelling up cost money. The price of tech goes up at each level. And you will need items like nugget/gem/medal/sceptor to level up. The price of these items varies depending on your server, you might want to check at different times in the day to secure a good deal (Same as when selling resources in excess). And you will want to spend the money to level up because you will be able to create more sub cities, occupy more oasis and forts, and advance through the ranks of the players. I would advise to
login every day at least to collect the daily gift in the task menu because it
is where you earn the most money at first. Hunts are another way to get
money but amount get worth only from about 1000-5000 inf or equivalent
cav to hunt from 8-12 hour. Daily gift might also bring you a silver/gold chest, which you can open for 5/8 coins or sell to NPC for 20k$/40k$. Some players advise to sell gold and open silver. I personnally sell all because I want to keep my coins for upgrading resource buildings above level 15. Daily gift might also bring equipment that you can equip to enhance your
attributes in fights or sell. Daily gift can also bring coins.

Occupying crop oasis (lots of players need to buy crop to sustain big armies that have equal or higher crop consumption than what they produce in their
city) or oasis for resources which price is high at market is also a good way
to earn money. But you might also want to occupy oasis for resources that you need yourself.

Beware that if a player attacks and take the oasis where you hunt or if you run out of food for your army, or if you hunt a troop for more than 10 days, your troop might come back to your city and might become a target.

Last but not least, earn prestige for levelling up by upgrading your buildings, tech, city walls, building an army, winning fights by destroying more enemy units than losing units in fights (if defender keeps troops/traps/turrets after 20 turns, you lose). Use the skills points from levelling up to strenghten your character (i advise focusing on healing to recover lost troops in combat). Equip your character with equipment to get stronger in fights.

Have a nice game, be friendly in chat, don't hesitate to ask questions and I
hope to play with you one day.
