Re: My two entries

I understand this is like your second time using photoshop. But it looks like normal text with a gradient overlay and an outer glow. Maybe get rid or tone down the glows? Change the font? Also, the background should not really be there as Haypi will probably not have that and you wont know if it looks good.

(Now if only everyone left constructive criticism like this instead of saying "Wow this takes the cake" on everyone one..)

Thank you very much, I'll take this into account immediately. I tried to make a metal effect on the text with the cloud layer etc. I think I used a gradient overlay. ;) Valid point on the background, I completely forgot about that.

Thank you for the advice, very helpful.

EDIT: How's this? (Or have I just made it worse :) )

Re: My two entries

Those are definitely more logo-able. But make sure the background is transparent not white!

An easy way is to high lite and delete the background, or if it is already transparent, save it as a .PNG!

Re: My two entries

First of all I think you should reduce the outer glow abit. Set it to abit less.
Also, using stroke with 1px is nice replacement for the glow ;)

Just use magic eraser on the background if it doesn't remove any white stroke if you got one, and you should get an transparent background.

Ok, I'll repost the relevant logos as PNGs. Once again, thanks.

Thank you, I'll try the stroke.

Re: My two entries

I'll do the stroke later, got some English GCSE to do.

Done these last night, and done a transparent version as well.
