AWE-some ( Haypi article competition )
Haypi is a MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role playing game) and the word massive does it justice. To those that are not in the know about these types of games, it involves you building armies and collecting resources to attack other online players to gain points (prestige). It might sound like a pretty dull affair to those that haven’t played before, but boy, when you start playing this, trust me, you will be carrying your phone charger and extra battery with you all the time
The game brings people from all over the world together into one massive battle – and such is this cosmopolitan mix of age and race, makes the game simplistically stunning and absorbing to say the least.
The scene is set in medieval times where you build up your city to acquire resources to build up your technologies, army and defences. In the beginning, you build what you produce but as the game progresses, you have to use other means of obtaining resources by farming forts or other players.
I am fortunate to be amongst a team of very amiable players of different ages and different races. You get a sense of togetherness with the people you play with i.e. your fellow friends and alliance members. You get to chat to them to pass on tips and information and even plan attacks on unsuspecting victims. Haypi really does absorb you with its own online community, so be prepared to participate no matter how strong or weak you are. Everyone has a role in the game and it is important to note that you do not necessarily need to spend money on the game to succeed (although it will help).
There are very few games out there that will have you stare at your phone and literally LOL when someone has cracked a joke or if a ‘noob’ sent only catapults to attack your traps, or even shed a little tear when someone has warped next to you and wiped out your entire army. There are even annoying players that really tick you off in the chat and in play, but this all adds to the charm of the game of which you will find that putting down the phone is going to be real hard. So having played these games before, Haypi gets a very big thumb up.
Give Haypi a try. It really is an AWEsome game. But be warned, you may just love it too much.
