Troops nerfed or gear not working?

Yesterday I was able to hit a level 10 Large oasis and I had 4100 archers on one of my heros that were able to kill 3990 knights in the 1st round.

Today.. I hit another level 10 large oasis and my troops weren't hitting as hard and it was taking 2 rounds to kill something that yesterday was only taking 1 round.

I wasn't starving, my hero and gear didn't change, in fact, I upgraded my gear since yesterday, so I SHOULD have been doing even more damage than yesterday.

Yesterday 4100 archers could kill 3990 knights.
Today 5049 archers on the same hero with better gear could only kill 2673 knights.
Yesterday my cats could kill the same number or more in 1 round. Today 1676 cats could only kill 1206 enemy cats.

It's like I'm not getting the benefits of my gear or missing the buffs I had yesterday.

After removing my gear and putting it back on, it seems my attack power back to normal.
Very strange.
