Remove the Crop requirement on attacks please

I went to attack a Large lev 9 crop oasis.
Turns out, I didn't have enough crop to go get the crop.

I think the crop requirement for attacking on the map needs to be removed or cut WAY WAY back.

Cost me 20K crop to hit something 8 minutes away?
When the game rolls out, I don't want to have to buy coins and waste them on buying crop so I can attack someone on the other side of the map to get my stuff back.

What happens when you starve, and don't have enough crop to get to the next crop oasis?

Agreed, it is a double kill to be charged crop to March and the lose crop as time goes on during that march Bc your army is eating it. I think the crop consumption for attacking on world map should be stopped.

I don't think eliminating the extra crop cost for moving your troops is necessary. It makes sense that there should be an extra cost for moving and using them in combat vs. them sitting still.

I do think the crop cost is too high. It should be reduced 20-40% OR have reduction of this cost built into one of the technology upgrades.

I think they should remove the crop cost all together.
The troops are double dipping into my crop since they also still consume crop from my city at the same time I'm paying crop to send them somewhere.

It's also crazy that it costs me 50K crop to hit something a few minutes away.

The worst one I've run into was someone an hour away would cost almost 500K crop to hit them.

The crop requirement needs to just be turned off. We didn't have that in HK, why now?

Something else to consider here.
Imagine this situation.
Your troops starved.
You have no coins.
You have no silver or no crop on market.
Someone stole your crop oases.

At this point, you can't play anymore unless it's crop day in the daily activities. In which case, you can attack at half power and hope to win.

It would be more like you were starting over, but you wouldn't be dead in the water either. Low level oases are easy - you barely need an army. But it wouldn't be that long until you were up and running again. If you can't wait, pay to play (faster).

Now, some things are hard to figure in beta due to all the free coins. So far, crop consumption hasn't been a deal-breaker for me. But I do see the potential harm which is why I think the crop price for movement is too high - I just can't say it should be eliminated altogether.

If you have NO crop, you can't even attack the smallest lev 1 oasis, not even if it's right next to you.
It's not like starting over, it's a complete stop in doing anything at all.

If your high level, and you have a manor that hasn't been stolen yet, yes, you can get crop from that, but, the crop requirement to hit has the potential to make the game unplayable in some cases.

To make the game unplayable unless you have coins will drive people away from playing it.
Even though they aren't buying coins, and haypi makes nothing from those folks, they are still needed because without them, the server will be pretty empty or die fast.

This is only true if you do nothing to change the situation. There are ways to get out of it (without gold). Sorry I don't have time to explain all the game mechanics right now.

I agree. Crop consumption to send troops should be eliminated all together.
