Better farming

One thing I've noticed it that it's hard to get the resources needed to upgrade to the higher level buildings and tech upgrades if your just farming oasis's and mines.

This is one of the factors causing people to loot other players because it's easier to get all the resources in one spot and 1 hit instead of scouting dozens of oasis's. And with no real way for players to search for people on the map, it's hard for those players to get their resources back.

I spent several hours yesterday farming from oasis's so I could get the resources to upgrade my town hall to lev 15, and when I was within a couple hours of doing it, I got hit and lost all my work that I spent the last couple hours working on.

I have 3 suggestions in this.
1. Better looting protection. There is almost NO protection against looters in this game. I'm at the higher levels, and even with some protection, I still lose almost all my stuff. When I got hit, I didn't even have enough crop to go get it back from the guy that stole it since it requires crop to hit something on the map. Telling players to go into War Refuse isn't a great solution. If your forcing people to spend coins to not lose all their stuff, they will just stop playing out of frustration.

2. Higher resources on oasis's and mines. One problem that I ran into yesterday while farming is that it takes dozens and dozens of hits on oasis's just to get something you can build with. They simply don't hold enough resources to assist with the larger upgrades or army builds. While there are large ones on the map, many players can't loot them because of the high amount of NPC troops on them and the Small ones just don't contain enough resources or have been taken by other players already.

3. Spread the players out more. We are all right on top of each other, and that is leading to a resource fight, higher rates of looting and people giving up after being hit 3-4 times a night while they sleep. There is a LOT of empty space on the map and spreading the players out better would help a lot since the resources would be better spread out and it would take longer to get to the other players to loot them.

Another option (sorry, forgot to list this one)

Reduce the amount of resources needed to upgrade at the higher levels so people can get the needed resources with just a few oasis hits.

I am not so sure this aspect of the game needs a lot of tweaking. It seems mostly in balance to me.

Remember two things:

- you are in a PVP (competitive) environment.

- the devs don't want players "finishing" the game in a matter of weeks. They want the game to last as long as possible to keep players (customers) longer.

While that is true, to an extent, why are most points gained through non-pvp activities and the recommended way to protect yourself is to go into War Refuse (which also prevents PVP activities)?

It seems that the advantage is going to go to the players who can find and own a high level manor the fastest. With those, resources are MUCH easier to get with the exception of scarce resources which you will still need to farm.

The low level players will struggle because they will need to farm all day to get the resources needed to make the upgrades in their cities and build up their armies. This is made even worse if they are constantly losing their resources to other players attacking them, and if those players have no coins for WR, it can make the game unplayable.

Also, once you get into a high level manor, if your not in war refuse, or park a large army in it behind a repaired wall, you are going to lose that manor when someone steals it, and they can be stolen in a matter of minutes.
