Can't send / trade monsters with my pal

Hi

why can't I send a monster to my pal? I'm new but at lvl 15 I should be able to do that right? The button 'gift' is grey and not orange so I can't click on it.

The monster trading only goes one way.
You cannot send a monster to your PAL if your PAL invited you to the game, perhaps that is the case here?

Yes I got his invitation code and he gave me a monster to begin with now I can't give back? That is very weird in my opinion

You can't give a monster to the person that invited you.

This was added to prevent people making multiple accounts and send themselve monsters they want.
