AI with Sand Therapy

My brawny has Sand Therapy talent, sand storm, boulder, and massive boulder spells.

I am not sure why AI doesn't cast sand storm first in most of battles to activate his sand therapy talent.

The most interesting part is, in some monster he encountered, he will cast Massive Boulder spell first to big time weaken his own physical defence before casting sand storm at 2nd round (against same monster). If he is going to cast sand storm (which he should be because his got sand therapy), he should cast at first round.

So the battle goes like this:

1st round:

My Brawny cast massive boulder first to big time hurt the opponent and also hurting his own physical defence.

2nd round:

Instead of casting another offensive spell to finish enemy off, my brawny cast "Sand Storm".

3rd round:

My brawny got slaughtered because of slow speed and weakened physical defence

I don't know why brawny with sand therapy doesn't cast sand storm first. I am actually ok with this part because the AI might think brawny can finish enemy off fast. But then why cast "sand storm" at 2nd round instead of finish the almost dead enemy off?????

If it is hard to code an extremely smart AI, I think it is safe for any monster with "therapy" talent and corresponding weather spell to cast that matching weather (like sand storm, rain prayer) spell at first round. Actually, Cygness has been consistantly doing that. Not sure why Brawny doesn't.

Please check. Thanks

Re: AI with Sand Therapy

It's to avoid the situation of, say a brawny with sand therapy and a cygness with water therapy casting their respective weather spells 5 times to get weather advantage over one another.

@Chiheisen
Then why exactly do Cygness with rainprayer and Blaze with celestial prayer constantly end up entwined in a situation like that?

I dont see why his brawny should be more intelligent in that regard even though he does act stupid, but Cygness and Blaze dont (or any other monster with similar spells)

@Silverblade
What i actually think what happens is that in Round 1, Brawny is calculated to have the advantage even without the Sandstorm. In second round though, he's calculated to be at a disadvantage due to its debuff, so the AI resorts to casting a spell that will give it an advantage, which would be the Sand Therapy.

I think the reason why we see this happening between Blaze and Cygness all the time (fighting for their weather domination) is because the opposing weather gives the own monster a disadvantage which it needs to fix in order to act. Which is also why sometimes, a Blaze can win against a very stupid Cygness that insists on Waterspout in such situations....

LOL. Good observation kessir.

Yes, my brawny has a debuff after round 1 -> the major weakened physical defence. Guess where is it coming from? Casting massive boulder in round 1 instead of casting boulder or sand storm. :o
